its not automatically rooted, but root is already available for the CN version of the mate 20 pro. so its just a matter of time till we get it

You can purchase bootloader unlock codes online. Just need the firmware that allows OEM unlocking
The only benefit I see right now , its to update the firmware for those who cant with their actual carriers ( like me )
I also wanted to make my phone fully global ( without those crappy carriers bootlogos, sounds , bloatware, etc )
bootloader unlock : when development begins ( twrp, root , etc ) , before this I don't see any benefits

Yes, it will work on ANY LYA-L29 or LYA-L09. Regardless of region.
my device is LYA-L09 (9.0.0.134 (C69E11R1P16)) of the operator TELCEL in Mexico, only with a credit can I change to the latest international version? Or do I have to also pay the 55 dollars to unlock the bootloader?

You can install it with one credit, you don't need to unlock the bootloader.
Does this process erase all my data? or install as if it were an OTA? you know what firmware I have to select the LYA-L09-CUST 9.0.0.11 (C69) or LYA-L09-PRELOAD 9.0.0.16 (C69R1)?
So far, it has not erased anyone's data. Still it's better to make a backup. You should not select any of the above, you should select from the LYA-Global section. 9.0.0.171

It worked for me ! and didn't wipe my data or my setup , indeed it worked as an OTA
When you get the credit ( after paying for it ) , try to leave that "browser confirmation window" open
Something happened to me when the HiSuite began to download the firmware , it closed by itself several times.
Just open it again , select system recovery and it will resume the download where it left it , don't disconnect the phone at any point .

Many have. It can take a few days. If you ordered more than three days ago, it might be in your spam folder.
