They'll know your bootloader was unlocked based on it saying bootloader relocked instead of locked. If i root than return it to factory condition unrooted will Huawei trigger something to say it's been rooted before like Knox on Samsung?

eRecovery won't do that. HiSuite method might, I'm not sure.I remember reading somewhere that if you recover using eRecovery rather than just flashing, it will lock the bootloader again and it will show locked rather than relocked, but I am not 100% sure though
Pleaaase,It's now possible to unlock the bootloader of the Mate 20 Pro, even the international version.
Prerequisites:
1. FunkyHuawei credit or pass.
2. Windows PC
3. Bootloader code from unlockhuawei.com
Steps:
1. Use the 'new HiSuite method' to install from the LYA-Global section, version 9.0.0.171
(These instructions: https://pastebin.com/raw/Db5ZSyqu )
2. Now you can enable "OEM Unlock" from the developer options. (It wasn't possible without step 1)
3. Reboot to fastboot mode, use fastboot command:
fastboot oem unlock CODE
(replace CODE with your code)
Now the bootloader is unlocked! Time for development!
What do you mean by that ?You are asking them to deliberately destroy their (FH) business model Just check with the rivals for a cheaper solution...
Perhaps you're referring to the oeminfo partition. Don't think these phones have a proinfo partition. What do you mean by that ?
I saw a lot of people doing that by restoring someone's backup on YouTube tutorials but sadly it's for different models.
you can always wait for your carrier to push out the OTA update? I don't think updating using FH method will block you from receiving official OTA update from your carrier (obviously you have to wait till your carrier pushes out the higher version numbers than .171, which could take a while).FH tweets about a new update. Anyone knows if we need to pay again???
No that is some awesome newsguys I received an OTA .171 update! and I'm happy to confirm that the unlock bootloader in not greyed out.so you might may don't need to buy it from FH after all if you are willing to wait, as your update might be around the corner
my phone is LYA-L29 and I bought it from Saudi Arabia
How much did you pay for the phone? Does $55 to unlock seem expensive compared to that?$55 to unlock the bootloader? No thanks.
Just thought this was a silly (being nice) comment to make. How much did you pay for the phone? Does $55 to unlock seem expensive compared to that?
your bank charges you a service fee even though they are keeping YOUR money for you...I do honestly think that $55 or any sum of money to unlock something that belongs to me anyway is a little extreme. Technically, Funky Huawei are in possession of something that belongs to me because it's unique to my device - so having to pay for it is a bit ridiculous. That's just my opinion.
