How to unlock the Mate 20 X bootloader (EVR-L29 international version)

It's now possible to unlock the bootloader of the Mate 20 X, even the international version.

Prerequisites:
1. FunkyHuawei credit or pass.
2. Windows PC
3. Bootloader code from unlockhuawei.com

Steps:
1. Use the 'new HiSuite method' to install from the Misc section, version EVR-L29 9.0.0.172
(These instructions: https://pastebin.com/raw/Db5ZSyqu )
2. Now you can enable "OEM Unlock" from the developer options. (It wasn't possible without step 1)
3. Reboot to fastboot mode, use fastboot command:
fastboot oem unlock CODE
(replace CODE with your code)

Now the bootloader is unlocked! Time for development!

No. It's device/imei specific.

C432 is a European region, I'm not sure exactly what country though. I made a regions thread when I had my Mate 9.

Interesting. You're right, Huawei sells them in Spain. I hadn't known that it was available in any European countries, so it's quite interesting.
It will work on that model, but it will show C636 software after installing.

At step 5

Instructions for Compatible Phones:

1. Install HiSuite version 9.0.2.301 -- It must be this version.

2. Run FHHiSuiteInstaller.exe as administrator (right-click and choose Run As Administrator)

3. Select the update you want to install on FunkyHuawei's site.

4. Put your phone into fastboot mode (with the phone off connect the usb cable while holding volume down, or boot the phone holding volume down with USB cable connected to PC.)

5. Choose System Recovery in HiSuite.

The update will download, decompress, and install. Your phone will reboot from fastboot to USB install mode during this process.
