If this phone can now run AT&T and international firmware like in the OP, I'm interested to know how much porting it would take to get a ROM for one of those versions working on the VZW model.
Is it a minimal amount of work, or more work than it's worth?

Same here...
Same here, as well. I even edited the Odin3.ini file to put a check mark in the "Phone Bootloader Update" box and tried it. (because I'm brave like that). Flash went fine, but the option was still greyed out and I got the "NOOB" warning in casual. Oh Well.

Edit: Just checked and I am no longer rooted. Is it possble Revision 3 wasn't pre-rooted?

Yes sir. This was what i did.

step 1: odin revision3 rom by itself to ungrey button. this was the only way i was able to get the phone bootloader button to ungrey.

step 2: wipe data / cache

step 3: odin revision3 again with pit with phone bootloader button checked as shown in video

step 4: boot into rom. enable usb debugging.

step 5: run casual part. this is where i get stuck.

same thing happening to me..

Revision 3 loses root which seems to be the issue... If you open superuser you will see its not rooted... I posed on Adams revision 3 thread to inform him that it's not rooted (because he asked). He will have it working soon I'm sure... I also asked if we can substitute beans rom but no repose yet

what if we odin revision 1 first then without wiping data / cache odin revision 3... maybe it will retain root???? that is what im considering.

Well, I gotta give it to you guys. Incredible job done and a big thank you to all who made this possible.

After reading this whole thread so far I'm gonna hold off from attempting anything until some stuff is cleared up (a method to restore stock bootloader, fixes for the issues people are having flashing already, etc) but I will be patiently waiting. Feels good knowing you guys were able to flip the proverbial table the Verizon execs sit around counting their money.

do we absolutely need revision 3 or can we just use whatever rooted rom we are on?
Pretty sure you'll need to use Adam's ROM. I think he put some "original" stuff in it for Casual to verify to make sure everything was as it should be for the exploit. I suppose Revision1 might work, since that's what he used in the video.

I think, right now it would be best to wait for Adam to fix Revision3 or link Revision4.

I am getting ready to flash but had 1 question: After I do all the steps and have the bootloader unlocked completely, can I then when everything is completely done, use Odin to flash the rooted stock version? I want my bootloader unlocked, but would just like to use the stock rooted at this time. Is this ok to do? Thanks.
