How to unlock your ROG2 phone via EDL mode！

After unlocking my phone just loops on fastboot mode. How can i boot my phone to android os?

Hi Guys, I ran into a problem. Please help me out with this.

I tried rebooting to edl mode from the .bat file provided but it kept giving me "<waiting for device>"

so i booted to edl via "tool all in one"

then ran update edl image.bat, it closed quickly

then ran unlock.bat and then it again said "<waiting for device>"

after this i dis-connected the device and i was not able to reboot it even after long pressing power button

please help here.

Hi. I know unlocking with this method does not register on ASUS that you have unlocked the device, but still widevine changes to L3. Will relocking with also this method recover the L1 cert? Can anyone confirm this and have tried?

The instructions are exactly as mentioned in OP.

1. Enable USB debugging and make sure correct drivers are there.

2. Connect to the side port (the one with rubber plug)
3. When booted in system, reboot to bootloader with "adb reboot bootloader"

4. Once rebooted to BL, run file "0.Reboot edl".

5. Run "1.Edl patch" immediately after tapping the previous file without and delay. Wait for a minute and you should reboot to BL screen and this would be a different BL.

6. Only on the fastboot screen, unlocking BL command will work. If you're stuck on the black screen, just hold power+vol up+vol dwn a d you'll boot to BL.

You can use tool all in one for reboot to EDL but afterwards, just make sure you hit the edl patch file asap.

I am in andorid 10. But i think it is advisable to downgrade to last A9 stable, unlock BL and then update to A10.

See if it works. When I tried in A10, The unlock command didn't work for the two times and then i couldn't boot back to system.

Yes it works. But after locking, you wanna flash the firmware so that the original BL is restored and things are normal

After locking the bootloader and flashing stock raw file, you get updates.

sir am currently on androi 10 latest and i want to unlock the bootloader using edl so is there any chance of hardbricking the phone?? i have knowledge of flashing roms through fastboot and other flashing tool etc.... just want to if there is chance of a hardbrick

This method just won't work on latest A10. I tried and softbriked.

not hardbrick isnt?? soft brick can be fixed by flashing raw rom file from fastboot and u will also retain unlocked bootloader
