Hello,

I have a HTC One M8s that need to unlock for a friend of mine.

I understand that this model isn't fully compatible with HTC One M8, so where can I find a manual to unlock it?

Regards,

Alex.

You mean unlock the bootloader, or SIM unlock?

For bootloader unlock, just follow the process on HTCDev.com.

I mean both, specially SIM unlock.

Any idea about SIM unlock?
I can't recall if s-off is available for the M8s.

If not, your best bet is to pay for a SIM unlock code. Which is usually around $10 US, and less than sunshine s-off anyway ($25 US, and the only working s-off method for the M8 - again I'm not sure if it works on the M8s).

Hi redpoint73,

Sorry to hear there are so few possibilities for this mobile.

It seems was a bad decission.

Thanks a lot,

These are the things you should investigate before you buy a phone, not after.

Good rule of thumb: you should always do thorough research before buying a phone which is not specifically intended for your region/carrier (i.e. any phone not purchased directly from your carrier).

Well, the issue is that he want to change the carrier, but now, in Spain, the carrier you bought it charge you 8 EUR for this ("service" call it).

It's clear that is annoying the situation we have in Spain, where Telcos can do whatever like, with complete freedom. Bad news for citizens.
