Hi all,
My M3 is rooted with Magisk on EMUI 4.13, model BTV-DL09
now there is a popup msg urging for update to EMUI 5.0 (B308)
so can i directly update it or i need to unroot the device first?
if need to unroot may i ask how to?
and rooting of EMUI 5.0 is similar to that of 4.13?
would i lose all my app& data?
sorry for so many silly questions
any suggestion would be greatly appreciated

Thank you

Never be sorry for asking a question as it's better than wondering.. First mark sure you have your unlock code as upgrading may reset it. Make a nandroid backup just in case thing go wrong. I personally would unroot, and remove any fingerprints codes , pin codes etc. Though I'm not sure how do it with magisk as I have never tied it.. (unrooting) the easiest way would be to reflash your boot image from your current firmware, download the current firmware you have on your phone ,extract it copy the boot image to your sd card then flash the image in TRWP. Make a backup of all you data so you can re-install it as the upgrade will reset everything.. and re-rooting is easy..
