queations

For those who have used this, how is it working for you ? I want to try it bit am curious if it is worth it. I don't mod extensively but use root for added functionality with some other electronics I own. Ideas and opinions appreciated.

According to previous posts the only thing this does is give you 4.4.4 with root. You lose safestrap capabilities and so lose custom recovery options. In addition, if I am understanding correctly, the possibility of losing root due to a bad flash of mods or other changes to the system is very real.

thanks for your works!
i go to 4.4.4 nk1 and keep root by flashing N900V_NK1_100%_Stock_Rooted_ROM.zip and N900V_NK1_Stock_Kernel.tar.md5 on 15,feb.
now i find that the method had changed.
is there any different bwteen the old method and the new one?

You're welcome. I took advantage of the full odin .tar to create the backup. This process does a better job of retaining permissions and selinux contexts. However users likely will not notice any difference from the previous ROM method.

If your still having this problem try downoading the hacked play store with a .jar file. You can get it off piratebay.se or moblism market or just google it.

May I ask you how one can get the Rooted 4.4.4 in the first place? I mean how did you do it as we all know there are no root methods yet?

They were on 4.4.2 and rooted first...then upgraded to 4.4.4

Could anyone advise on the current status with updating to NK1, NJ6, or NC4?
I just read that Lollipop was finally released for our VZW Note 3s. I can't wait for that anymore. I am still on MJE running Hyperdrive RLS7 which is now over a year old. My poor Note 3 is getting sluggish and is being out paced by my Moto G and S4mini(is on official 4.4.2).

What I would like to accomplish: Keep root, safestrap, and the ability to use RLS7 (or RLS8) if I want to go back. Finally get XLTE support. Install a full featured rom in slot 1 and a stripped down rom in slot 2. (have RLS7 and Neon setup currently) Fix signal issues and data dropouts.
Issues I am having on current setup:General sluggishness. Data connection being very slow, timing out when loading new pages, dropping from LTE to 3g constantly (not a low strength signal issue). Lots of random bugs and crashes.

I have read here that updating to NK1 will kill the ability to use safestrap. Is this still the case for the current method using Flashfire? If so, would I be better off using NC4? Also, what is the deal with NJ6? I understand that once we update, we can not go back to a previous build. I do not want to be in that situation.

I normally try to read as much info for myself as I can. My eyes are suffering, and I have a semi-permanent red spot on my left eye. It burns all day.
Please don't reply if you are just going to tell me to search. Thanks

Can you put this on a nk1 kust to root it. Can someone rest and report back? http://www.usoftsmartphone.com/t319505.html
At first I thought you may have been joking, but the
n again, there wasn't anything funny there, so I guess you're really questioning it..
Well theres an easy answer... If you go back to the OP or first post of this thread, read it...., carefully..., you'd see the similarities between the link you're questioning and the first post. That's because IT IS the first post. At least, 2147 N Northgate Way, Seattle, WA 98133pbefore it was edited/updated. The answer to your question is to read this thread, you'd have the answer, plus much more! :)

I tried to flash Jasmine ROM and my bootloader got returned to stock (although I kept root access). Not sure how that happened, but my phone was working fine anyway. Then I decided to reflash TWRP and now my phone is soft bricked because it detected a custom bootloader.

I've tried to reflash stock ROMs for MJ7 and NC4 but get SW REV CHECK errors. (pretty sure I rooted on NC4 using towelroot originally)

my question is, is there any way to flash the stock bootloader without flashing the entire stock image?

Or is there any way to totally reset my phone other than flashing a stock image? I don't want to flash 4.4.4 or higher because then I'll permanently lose root.
