I did a factory reset thinking it would unroot my phone. Then I found the hard way that I erased everything for no reason :(

I'm running android version 4.2.2 and my goal is to get the latest stock version on there. Before I completely mess up my phone, can somebody tell me what the easiest way is to accomplish that?

Thanks

PS. sorry if I posted in the wrong thread

What are the options for rooting a 720T? I'm on 4.4.2, software version L720TVPUBNAF. I tried the root method in this thread when I first got my phone a few months ago before I realized that there were two different models with the release of the tri-band version.

Hey guys,

I've tried this and also tried another md5. Both of them say "Pass!" and restart and everything works exactly like I see in the video. However, I don't have root access. Nothing has changed. I'm following the instructions exactly. Any ideas on what might be going wrong here? I'm lost.

Had u ran a root check. If not try that. Not sure if you said you did or not. And if root checker says no. Try rerooting. May help. I used cf root with Odin and worked on 1st try.

The verification fails. All apps that need root access can't get it. I've tried this process like 3 times.

Edit: I got this working with another md5 from a Youtube video. I can't link it here, though.
