[How to] VoLTE on Jio India Carrier with USA snapdragon S8 or s8+

Did you need to get any updated files? Or works like before?

i downloaded both us and indian latest firmwares and made new omc zip and used same combination file given In the OP. I used same csc versions ,both indian and final US one had same DSC1 ending csc
so happy i got this volte working ,my galaxy watch was not showing up any phone calls due to this stupid jio app.

Did u use the same csc file as for the oreo version?

same csc version for pie ..latest pie version ,,both had dsc1 ending

I cant find indian pie firmware with dsc1 ending.
I have posted the screenshots of both the firmwares. Can u please clarify?

I guess I will have to wait for march patch for s8 since the csc versions are different.

VoLTE on S8 G950U with Pie working

Anyone able to install the latest pie with volte???

I was on G950U H1 firmware with Sec_omc from I5 indian firmware.


I flashed G950U 5DSC1 then combination file then sideload sec_omc from pie DSBA Indian firmware..... reboot back to factory binary...follow instruction from first post then when you flash stock rom don't let it boot..... instead boot into recovery then flash sec_omc again..... then factory reset and Volte worked.

You told me earlier that the verisons of CSC are different of the US and India firmware and I wud have to wait for an updated Indian firmware.
But u have successfully flashed the CSC ?


Also, theUS pie I downloaded is ending with DSC1 and the India firmware is DSBA. ONLY MY MODEL IS S8 PLUS
So can I now do the same thing that u did for my S8 plus.

That is correct but it somehow worked maybe because of this--

I had VoLTE working on my Oreo and because of that there is ONE THING TO NOTICE-
I FLASHED THE PIE AND COMBINATION AND THEN SIDELOAD DSBA sec_omc. And booted to factory binary and WHEN I RAN THE IME CODE *#243203855#
IT SHOWED INS ON THE TOP AND THERE WERE NO OPTIONS TO SELECT ANY OTHER CODE.

Also when on oreo I sideloaded sec_omc, it showed me no errors but on Pie the sideloading aborted and it did not reboot itself.

I THINK WHAT HAPPENED IS THAT INS persisted itself somehow and I can say this because before I got Volte on oreo XAA was persisting itself unless I found the correct sec_omc and it worked

I have a t mobile S8 Plus which I unlocked using the tmobile app and then I later unlocked Volte using the instructions given in this forum which is working perfectly.
Now I have another tmobile S8 which is also locked but I dont have the tmobile sim anymore to perform the network unlock.

My question is will the Volte unlock method unlock my S8 or I wud need to perform a network unlock first?

Is the sim unlock using the Tmobile sim necessary before doing the VOLTE unlock?

I have a Note 8 N950U which i bought from china,
I live in india so i was looking for a combination firmware with bootloader v5 and Pie which also includes csc for Jio VoLte to work. Currently I am on N950U1UEU5DSC1. I got no sprint OMDM issues what so ever after updating to U1 firmware. My note 8 was verizon before. It is unlocked.

Steps to Flash Android Pie (working on my S8)

1. Flash AP, BL and CP and Home CSC file via odin of the US carrier (might need to reset data)
2. Side load sec_omc.zip file for Pie (link below) via adb (step 12)
   dowload https://drive.google.com/file/d/1zZL...w?usp=drivesdk (Thanks to @Kulyash for uploading the file)
3. sec_omc.zip Installation will show fail message on phone screen and installation will show as aborted. Wait for a minute and let it reboot itself. (takes some time)
4. Factory reset data if required.
5. Enjoy Pie with Volte

I m just waiting for the sec omc file to be uploaded by someone. Then I will follow ur method. Also, u flashed the home csc, so u updated to pie without wiping data?
