how would you remove the plastic film that comes with the tablet

it was a stupid decision that i decided to not remove the plastic film that came with the tablet. (on all smartphones or tablets they always put a plastic film on the device so that it can prevent dust and stuff, samsung even puts some processor, ram information on it)
after months of using it now i want to remove it so i can put the screen protector on it, or at least i want to remove it because it seems collect too much dust and fingerprint and make the touch screen harder to use. but it's "glued" and i can't remove it now.
i tried using fingernails and clear tape but couldn't remove it.
does anybody have any idea of what i can do? thanks

Well I would guess that you will have to heat it up a bit to get it to come off and you may have to use a bit more force than you might like.

Damn that's not good at all dude. It sounds like the screen protector was exposed to some heat and melted to your screen. I would call the manufacturer and tell them everything and maybe they will send you a new one. Good luck!

Just peel what you can off and use some sort of cleaning solution to gently rub off the residue. You would think the plastic comes off pretty easily, but if left on for too long, I've seen this happen on more than a few occasions.
