I only see the Philippine version for pre-order; would like to see the Euro spec to see if there are any different freqs enabled. Regardless, yeah, where did you order from?

I have a NEX from China, and it was pretty simple to add Google services working flawlessly.
I assume same will be for FIND X which i have pre-ordered already should get it by 18th July.

Vivo nex
Is it great ?
well its pretty close to perfect! Only the OS is far from stock and IOS skinned. but the hardware, speed everything is perfect.
loving it. will compare it with the Find X and then decide which to keep which to sell

I already had that one bookmarked, it's the only one in the first 5 pages or so of a search that actually had boxes you could check. I was expecting to see it a wee bit cheaper and was wondering if they would drop down somewhat when generally available...

Their prices will drop after a month, but until then they stay pretty firm on them. It's a great place to buy from. I bought the vivo nex from them, and they ship immediately and are a pleasure to do business with.

I'm going to wait for real reviews, a lot of ching for an unknown quantity. I'm particularly interested in DTTW, I hate when you have to hit the power AND swipe to get unlocked, enough so I probably wont buy in unless a known developer gets on board and states it can be fixed. It's like when you have to unlock with a fingerprint scanner but then swipe to the GUI, completely senseless. With any luck the omni boys will get on this one, that would remove a few worries.

Sigh... The right side of my brain is saying, "Order it! Order it! Order it!". The left side of my brain thinks the right side of my brain is an idiot. :(

To be honest with you, if.... And I mean if.... The mi mix 3 is really going to look like what the leaks suggest, I would wait for it. Xiaomi always allows the bootloader to be unlocked, even if you have to wait 30 days to do it. It is a much more Dev friendly device. I buy everyphone... I have a problem... I have a vivo nex, I preordered the oppo find x.... However I also have a oppo r15 and unfortunately you can't unlock the bootloader, it requires a oppo account to change home launcher just like the vivo nex..... However I've tried contacting oppo and they will not set a oppo account up for me. Then tell me that setting a new default home launcher is not a feature they allow at the moment....

The only save and grace there could possibly be for the oppo find x is that is supposed to turn into a global device which might allow us to create a account without the need of a Chinese phone number or Chinese email address.

That's my 2 cents. Hope it helps with your decision.

Too bad there isn't an out-of-the box option for another non-Oppo ROM, as was the case with the Oppo N1 & Cyanogenmod.
Lineage OS on the Find X would be an awesome combination.

Thanks for the heads up on the Oppo account information, I'll be taking my chances & buy a Chinese SIM Card....

As for the default launcher, is the option to change it in the settings of your Oppo R15?
If so, we're you able to change the default launcher on it?

Sent from my HUAWEI BKL-L04 using XDA Labs

No it is just like the nex. You try to change it to default and it requires a account and password. Which like the nex has to be in Chinese, except oppos service department won't create a account and also says it isn't possible. However I'm wondering this.... What if we download a new launcher, then launch it, then use the adb shell uninstall command on the factory launcher, if it will then use the 3rd party launcher without an account. I'll have to try it on the oppo r15

One or two people in the NEX forum claimed they removed the stock FunTouch Launcher, but, I've burned myself doing that way back when, in the Eclair days & the OG Huawei Ascend.

Stock launchers & keyboards are two items I typically stay away from as far as uninstalling, unless I know with certainty a fix is as easy as a reset, pain in the ass it may be, not the end of the world, LOL.

If you decide to try it out on your R15, please share your results here. ✌

I uninstalled funtouch launcher. Phone functions fine without it on the nex.

That is AWESOME NEWS,THX! :good:

I haven't had the "pleasure" of using Color OS going back to the OG Find 7,guessing it's changed some, but, just as FUBAR as ever.

These days (on your R15) Is it basically the mirror image of Funtouch OS?

I'm thinking all that goes out the window with the Euro version which I'm expecting to be unlocked, it was the case with the Find 7. This is really the crux of the whole left side/right side. Obviously the smart money is on waiting and then making a decision after more information is available. On the other hand I'm a bit of a s-lut when it comes to my cell phones and I'm always looking for the next thing; which of course I want NOW! lol

Same here, not exactly proud of the number of phones I've been through since I started out on Eclair.......
The NEX was beginning to grow on me,in a good way, with the ADB bloatware removal/Nova Launcher/dark theme & using an immersive settings app to hide the nav buttons on a per-app basis.
However,I still have the new hardware bug,I sold my NEX this morning & have an ETA of next Wednesday on a Burgundy 128GB Find X.
I'll just repeat the set-up I had on the NEX & perhaps, this will be the one phone that sticks,at least for a while, after the "new phone smell" fades..........................

EDIT: @krabman
By any chance did you try signing in on your OPPO R15 with your VIVO Account credentials?

This looks promising (appears the Indian market is getting Google pre-installed,hopefully,the ROM can be flashed on China market models):

You grabbed the wrong man to quote, I've avoided Chinese market phones for a while having been fairly well burned with one some time back.
