So I am having a similar problem as one guy on this thread which I could not find a solution for. Basically, after rooting, going through the ADB code, and flashing TWRP, I find myself in a bootloop and cannot move the JasmineROM file into the correct TWRP backup folder. I tried wiping Cache, Dalvik, etc, but nothing worked.
I decided to reinstall the Full Firmware ROM again, but that ended in a bootloop. I attempted to flash the stock BPA1 Lolipop ROM again, but that also ended in a bootloop, even after factory resetting in the stock recovery and wiping cache various times. I ended up flashing CPF3_HOME Rom, which worked fine. But when I went to flash the Full Firmware ROM, it gave me a bootloop error as before. So now I'm stuff on the CPF3 stock rom, unsure if I bricked my phone from rooting or anything like that. Any solutions to this problem?

Did you remove the SD card after flashing the ADB code and re-formatting it?

Thank you. I reformatted the SD Card and can finally flash the full firmware again. I do get a bootloop after the ADB process, and OP states there are extra steps to do since I have not done the lolipop rooting process since then, but never states those steps. I might as well work from ground zero then. I will keep you updated how it goes.

If you already have flashed the bootloader to development, just re flash via Odin TWRP.

Bootloader was locked since I re-flashed the stock rom via Odin. Just got here, now going in for the second flash with the marshmallow Full Firmware ROM.

EDIT: Now I got further, but as I try to restore the JAsmineROM, I can't select a partition because none are listed. I don't get it, I saw a video of the same ROM being restored from a backup and that had a checkbox with "system" labeled next to it, but mine has nothing? What do I do?

I just tried Jasmine ROM. I couldn't get it to boot.
I am on resurrection remix . installed just fine .

I would try redownloading

I actually just flashed Modest Rom for marshmellow, and flashed that partial firmware with odin and now it seems like my bootloader is finally fully unlocked!

The next problem i want to install a note 7 rom, such as the one made in the verizon fourm or the Astra Dream ROM, but they always stay at the Samsung logo screen. Perhaps i need to update TWRP to a newer version? Would that be done simply by flashing from odin?

Twrp is official. You can flash from the app.

In have Verizon. Let me know what note 7 variant you use. I tried to flash the partial firmware. But I didn't use modest.

I'm using ressurection remix.

Actually nevermind, the TWRP version as stated in the OP's post works fine. It was just the ridiculously long wait times to start the ROM. Thanks for your help, I am successfully complete and running

Has anybody else on this ROM started getting an OTA update notification earlier this week? My guess is it would kill root, so I'm holding off. Does anybody here know anything about it? I'm having a hard time finding any info about it on the internet, and seems unusual for a 4 year old phone to still be getting updates.

Update: Never mind, I'm on JasmineROM_v7.0-MMB29M.N910VVRU2CPF3, forgot that I had switched. Still strange, though!

If anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated. Ive had the N910v since it came out. Im on stock 6.0.1 and been wanting to flash a custom rom to get rid of the bloat for years. A couple years ago it seems the bootloader was locked and had no options so just gave up and been out of the custom rom scene for years.
Now I see the n910v can ne unlocked, rooted, and flash custom roms so I backed up all my media off the phone this morning, went and bought a 128gb sd card, and came home excited to flash a custom rom and have some snappy performance again.....

Thats where things turned into frustration. I been reading guides, watching vids, and googling for over 10 hours and am just more confused.
All lineageOS 15.1 guides for note 4 just mention the n910v needing to be bootloader unlocked, rooted so when I research into that I find old threads and videos that say it only works on android 5 or below. Cant find any info on unlocking bootloader on 6.0.1
The more I read the more frustrated and confused I get.
Do I have to be rooted before I can unlock bootloader?
Do I have to rollback to previous version to unlock bootloader?

I been looking for an all inclusive guide but just cant, then when I try to tackle each step individually I cant decipher if im reading outdated methods.

Any help, steps, links are greatly appreciated!

See OP and do this first:

"Boot into Download Mode
Extract and flash N910VVRU2BPA1_N910VVRU2CPD1_FullFirmware.tar.md5 via Odin
This will make you on Lollipop with Marshmallow bootchain/firmware/modem, which is rootable."

(BPA1 is Android 5.1)

Odin just hangs on NON-HLOS.bin with no progress.
I don't understand what I did wrong.
I have TWRP 3.0.2 with unlocked bootloader (MODE: Developer)

Sorry if you have already asked here. I do not understand English well. My friend asked me to ask a question, since he is not registered here. I do not know how to help him, since I have the N910F and for my phone everything is much simpler in terms of firmware. He has a model N910V. He unlocked the bootloader by the method used for this phone. Now he has twrp 3.3.0-0, Resurrection Remix 7.0.1 (Android 9) installed. Will he be able to update the bootloader while on this ROM? Or is it necessary to reinstall the stock firmware and repeat the unlock process?

Yeah, with the 910V you have to go through the unlock process again if you want to update the bootloader. Most 910V users just stay on the CPD1 bootloader, which was the first MM one. I wrote up a guide on how to update but it didn't seem to make much difference so I usually suggest to just stay on whichever MM bootloader that you're on currently.

It has a BPA1 bootloader installed. Is it from 5.1? Therefore, the question arose how to deliver for 6 without starting the process over.

Oh, yeah that's a 5.1 bootloader. There's no way that I'm aware of to update to MM without going through the process again, which will completely wipe the internal storage (I always like to mention this part because I kept forgetting myself and would lose a bunch of stuff).

This post has some pretty good instructions to go from BPA1 to CPD1.

In the description of the bootloader firmware procedure it is written that WiFi will not work. A mobile network is not available, gives a message that the SIM card is not Verizon. It does not work because of this, get root. No network.

You NEED a MicroSD, and it WILL be formatted during this process.

THIS WILL NOT WORK ON GALAXY S3/GALAXY S4/GALAXY S6|e/Galaxy S7|e. It will NOT work on AT&T.

We can't help you root or teach you how to use ADB. It's important you have the ability to do these things or research them a bit before blindly using this.

This is a summarized guide with the required files to upgrade and unlock the new bootlloader required for Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow (N910VVRU2CPD1) on Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note 4 (SM-N910V). Extended details about each step (e.g., rooting) can be found in the General Section of this forum.

If you're already on unlocked Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow bootloader, you can extract and flash the DevEd partial firmware via Odin to upgrade:

This will upgrade the base firmware (NON-HLOS, modem, rpm, sbl1, sdi, and tz) to N910VVRU2CQL1.

    Requirements:
    • Verizon Samung Galaxy Note 4 (SM-N910V)
    • All files in the Download Section
    • Odin installed on Windows
    • ADB installed on Windows, Mac, or Linux

    Notes:
    • If you own a Developer Edition, you can still use this method unless you want to keep your original CID and signature. If so, make backup of your aboot and CID! You may contact @ryanbg to create a special unlock binary for your own device.
    • Everyone should unlock his bootloader on Lollipop to save extra steps and prevent complications. The official thread (or any guides based on it) will change your device CID to 150100523231384d4100657e54fc1200 which will match and allow for direct unlocking of the Marshmallow bootloader. Otherwise, the unlock binary will change your decvice CID and reboot, which may end up with a bootloop that requires extra step(s) to fix.
    • It's recommended to wipe data (factory reset) in stock recovery after Odin flash of full firmware.
    • Make appropriate backups of everything before trying this.

    Instructions:
    • Unlock your Lollipop bootloader to match CID (start here)
You can ignore this step if you did it already. If not and for Developer Edition owners, I'd recommend to flash N910VVRU2BPA1 Full Firmware via Odin before unlocking.
    • Boot into Download Mode
    • Extract and flash N910VVRU2BPA1_N910VVRU2CPD1_FullFirmware.tar.md5 via Odin
This will make you on Lollipop with Marshmallow bootchain/firmware/modem, which is rootable.
    • Root your device (Check General Section for detailed instructions)
Note that WiFi will not work due to the updated bootloader, but you can use Mobile data if needed for rooting.
    • Unlock the bootloader using the same method:
      Code:
      [email protected]:/ # cd /data/local/tmp/
      [email protected]:/ # chmod 777 samsung_unlock_n4-fix <
      [email protected]:/ # ./samsung_unlock_n4-fix

Once your unlocked and rooted on 5.1.1
Flash the new bootloader that was posted in the download section of the OP.(I kept the reboot box checked in Odin)
When you phone powers back on, download kingroot and rootchecker (Just like you did when you unlocked your bootloader on 5.1.1)
Enable developer mode and USB debugging in settings
In Windows, Copy samsung_unlock_n4-fix to the "Minimal ADB and Fastboot" install folder location. (Make sure you delete the old samsung_unlock_n4_fix from the last time you did this process)
Plug in with USB cable and make sure Usb settings are MTP and check ok on USB Debugging
Root with kingroot and check root with Rootchecker
open Command window in your ADB folder and type
    (1) adb devices
    (2) adb push samsung_unlock_n4-fix /data/local/tmp/ (make sure the samsung_unlock_n4-fix is typed in exactly as it is in the adb folder)
    (3) adb shell
    (4) su ( You have to grant root permission on the phone and continue)
    (5) cd /data/local/tmp/
    (6) chmod 777 samsung_unlock_n4-fix
    (7) ./samsung_unlock_n4-fix

    Boot into Download Mode
Extract and flash twrp-3.0.2-0-trltevzw.tar.md5 via Odin
    Boot into TWRP recovery
Flash JasmineROM v6.0 or any Marshmallow-based ROM
    Reboot to system
    ENJOY!

    Firmware Upgrade [N910VVRU2CPJ2]

    OP instructions have been updated.

If you're already on unlocked Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow bootloader, you can extract and flash the DevEd partial fimware via Odin to upgrade:

This will upgrade the base firmware (NON-HLOS, modem, rpm, sbl1, sdi, and tz) to N910VVRU2CPJ2.
