I've heard about problems with battery life after rooting with gingerbreak. Is that true ?
Some people also complained that after rooting, their Atrix reboots from time to time and the internal memory gets erased... It obviously removes everything during the rooting process, do some of you experience that **** after beeing rooted ?

I'm running stock Orange FR ROM, build 4.4.20
no, there are no problems directly related to rooting with this. also - if you go into "settings->storage(or mounts, SD card, something like that, it varies)" and select "unmount internal storage" before you run gingerbreak out of your app drawer, your internal memory won't be wiped

This will not work on the new gingerbread. Depending on ur situation u can use ether of the two methods I listed in this post.

Or u on the official it's update? If yes I'm not sure how if the sbf method is safe but I believe it is. But it may not be.

I read another user's post that Gingerbreak causes volume damage, and that after using it, it is recommended that the internal and external SD cards be formatted via PC.

Is this still the case, that it's required or recommended?

And if so, are there any special requirements for formatting the internal SD card? Can I do it when it's mounted as mass storage via a file manager, or do I have to do it with developer tools? And does it have to be formatted with certain specs (i.e. I assume FAT32, but allocation size, etc...)?
