Search for zikko in themes store and you'll solve the issue with battery percentage. You can even use just the status bar from that theme if you don't like the entire theme.I'm missing my battery percentage and the ability to change fonts. Otherwise no real problems with this phone yet...
Mind you, it's been less than 24 hours since I got it but been playing with it for a solid 8 hours...
Oh yes, I even sent this as a suggestion from the Poco launcher feedback form. I believe more of us should do this.I'm missing the count number over the icons.
Thank you so much. This even added more toggles in the expanded status bar. Now I've 14+sort instead of just 11+sort.Search for zikko in themes store and you'll solve the issue with battery percentage. You can even use just the status bar from that theme if you don't like the entire theme.

Since then I've updated to the MIUI 10 beta rom, it has % inside the battery logo, but there are some themes available to fix that so battery % is bigger and displayed beside/ instead of the battery icon...Yeah, I thought it was broken when i first saw it without number)))) Now, i'm used to it .... Although it feels empty, my OCD says it needs at least a black dot in it, if not number.
