Exactly. It removes a very useful feature -the ability to use power buttons to straight away go to the bootloader.

True, but I guess that's why it's only shipped with the Open Betas (till now, at least) and not the stable builds.

Thank you so much for this! I just updated to Beta10 to try and clear up a GPS issue. I ended up with that terrible bootloader, and then I couldn't go back.
