No, because I had the domestic unlock before, after installing the new modem it removed the unlock. Which means Samsung patched the hack. I had to go back to NG2 and everything went back to normal.

i followed this info and now i cant even get service on my phone nor wifi wont connect. wth is with all the false info. i cant even see the service mode screen anymore it just keep showing all the random info even after pushing hitting the menu button and going back a few time. now my phones useless and wont connect from wifi or from the sim card thansk for nothing

Most, if not everyone here who followed the instructions got it to work. If the instructions were false info, this thread would have died long time ago.

I totally agree with AlpineMan's post. The process is not to blame (the user is...). If wifi wont connect its an issue with your phone, not the unlock process. And if all youre doing is hitting the menu button and going back...youre doing it wrong. Take the time to READ the instructions and you will find out IT WORKS.

This process will unlock the phone for any compatible GSM carrier worldwide. APN is always needed for data connection

I've made a new post detailing the process I went through on @Rick4175's phone tonight.
Maybe by putting all the information together there will be less questions, and a better place for discussion (less posts to read through)/

That suxks after on a call for a little while the call gets all crackly and the other person does not hear it and it makes calls almost not worth it why I went back to this s3

Yeah probably not the best to have a 4.3 modem with 5.0 software
