@iBowToAndroid or @mattzeller my phone is a 100% charged now I just need to know how to download Odin I have Odin 3 v 307 when I bring it up it has auto reboot and F reset time already checked and if I plug my phone in with it on download mode it says 0.01 added or something like that and I can click on PDA and bring up a tar file that's on my desktop and click Start and it starts put in information underneath that added thing but I don't know what else to do or I don't think it's working so is that so is that Holden 3d whatever okay to have or do I need just regular Odin and where can I download it to where I can run it as an administrator on my computer same with the tar file I'm sorry just what do I need to do to get my phone to get my phone working it's a samsung galaxy s4 SPH-L720T 5.0.1. Please if either one of y'all can help me out, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks Dallas

Right click on Odin and select run as administrator.
Uncheck reboot and f reset time.
Click on PDA and select the tar file that is the stock ROM.
It's going to take a few minutes for it to make sure that the file is OK once that is done plug your phone into the computer via USB cable.
Once your phone is recognized in the upper left hand corner you should see something under the com section.
If it gives you a com number you're good to go, just press start.
you're going to see a progress bar in the upper left hand corner it says what you're doing wait until all of that completes. then down in the message box it will tell you when it is complete weather has been successful or failed.
When it says that it is completed unplug your phone from the computer and restart it.
If you have trouble booting at this point just reboot into recovery and do a factory reset and then reboot, that first boot is going to take a while like in the order of 15 to 20 minutes, so be patient

@iBowToAndroid I did it & the status bar on my phone went all the way green & the computer Odin said pass & I took it out & tried to power it on & still the Samsung logo& it went off..m

Go into recovery and factory reset

Last night my S4 was charged fully & whn I put it on the charger this am its @ 0%. But whn I did the root & factory reset last night it was 100% . How can I tell if its t/e battery if it does charge but somehow drains without bein on?

& 1 more quest. Last night my S4 was charged fully & whn I put it on the charger this am its @ 0%. But whn I did the root & factory reset last night it was 100% . How can I tell if its t/e battery if it does charge but somehow drains without bein on?

If it's off there is no way it should have depleted to 0%. Could be either the battery or the charger.

Yea, im using the fast.t-mobile one. and in Network mode, there's no option for GSM/LTE or 4g. Only GSM/UMTS

That's normal. You won't get LTE, just HSPA+. Still 4G though

The phone can be unlocked on all versions. However, the OP is out of date. You'll have to read the thread to find out how

i have tested few phones to unlock on 4.4.2 and they worked via octopus box. but 5.0.1 is making me sick. busted 3/4 days but still unable to figer out. can u link me to exect post?

1. Don't use boxes.

has anyone had success doing this on 5.0.1 L720VPUGOH1? I had it working on kitkat but the phone forced the update to 5.0 and now it dont work, i've tried to repeat the same process but still no dice

cant edit my last post, but for anyone thats on 5.0.1 what you need to do is downgrade your modem to MDC, then it'll work. But i'm still only getting edge instead of HSPA, will report back if i can fix it

First I root my device ( version L720VPUFNG2 ) and I downgraded the Moden to SPH-L720_MDC_Modem , then downloaded the app and I unlocked the phone and I followed this tutorial and thats it..

Now I have my sprint galaxy 4 s on a T-mobile Sim card.

hm.. the SSU should only be the international unlock, not the domestic unlock. I'm doing another L720 on lollipop but this time i'm having issue with the invalid sim, no matter what i do it still says invalid sim.
