Hello, please, write me how to block Bootloader ?

Dear author of the topic

I am asking you with a very kind request for your support.

I tried to block the bootlader with the same method as you can unlock - with this one

that I changed the name of the file that I received on the email from unlock.bin on lock.bin.

In cmd I also entered the command fastboot flash lock.bin.

Unfortunately, but the cmd console replied to me with this message:

unknown partition 'lock.bin'

error: can not determine image filename for 'lock.bin'

According to the LG website, there is no way to officially re-lock the bootloader (https://developer.lge.com/resource/mobile/RetrieveBootloader.dev).

If a method exists, I do not know it and you will have to research for yourself.

Hello, all very warmly on the forum :)

I am asking you with a very polite request how to restore to the default settings

the boot partition. I'm having Android 6.0 MarshMallow and downloaded application from the store

Google Play> https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=me.twrp.twrpapp

I downloaded the last version of TWRP recovery.img in version 3.1.1-1 for lg g4

h811-h815. Having Android 6.0 MarshMallow I had active options in this application

flash boot partition and flash recovery partition. I chose the first flash on boot

partition and then flash on recovery partition.

Yesterday I installed from the micro sd card - via TWRP recovery Android 7.0 Nugat from this link> https://forum.xda-developers.com/g4...-g4-nougat-t3660032/post73481713#post73481713

This rom was very nice for me :)

After the installation was completed, I received a message like on the attached screen.

I left both options selected by default.

I Move the blue slider quite to the right.

After the installation, I started using TWRP

installation of the Super SU package from this link> https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=24369303960690845

Installation of the Supers ran successfully.

I remember that at the end I chose wipe dalvik / cache and only then start the system.

Currently, I have restored the system to the default settings from the menu

Android 7.0.

How do I clean the boot partition on which the img TWRP recovery 3.1.1-1 has been saved?

still from the previous installation of the same recovery as I had Android 6.0

MarshMallow and the recovery image I installed by the official TWRP app from

Google Play Store> https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=me.twrp.twrpapp

On the TWRP menu today, before installing Android 7.0, I chose full cleaning

Clear tab> format data then> Advanced cleaning and in sequence:

Dalvik / Art Cache

System

Date

Internal storage

cache

However, the above treatments before installing the Romu with Adroid 7.0 Nougat did not bring

intended result.

I am asking you very kindly for any technical support

by TWRP recovery, you can format the Boot partition it is currently on

installed TWRP Recovery.img image?

I tried rooting my LG H815 using the guide but Root Checker says my phone isn't rooted? I am using LOS 14.1 Nougat ROM could that be the issue?

NVM: I update to the latest SuperUser and it is rooted now :)

If I don't want to root, is it then possible to just:
1. unlock
2. install TWRP
3. install custom rom (LineageOS 14.1)
4. Stil use Snapchat, Netflix, Pokemon Go (Pass SafetyNet)

I cannot speak for the safety net part but you should be able to do the rest. FYI, an unlocked bootloader will trigger safetynet.

Make sure to complete backups.

minimal adb v1.4 is 10GB? Really? Something wrong with that link surely!?

Also, tried with 15 second adb installer but when I issue adb reboot bootloader, it now reboots but doesn't go to the bootloader, it just reboots the device! oem unlock is ticked as is usb debugging.

What am I missing? Using usb 2.0 port.

I'm not sure what you're seeing as the filesize is less than 1MB.

http://prntscr.com/jq82rv

I'm not sure why you're having that issue. Maybe try following the steps again in case you might have missed something.

The reason is a dodgy ebay seller! It's an H812, not an H815 that is meant to be. Gonna have to wait for ebay to refund me and then attempt to buy another H815.

Working now but last night was downloading a 10gb file (which never completed). Odd

Hi, having an issue. Installed adb fastboot and LG drivers. Enabled oem unlock and usb debugging but get the following isssue when trying "adb reboot bootloader" (device does not reboot):

* daemon not running. starting it now on port 5037 *
ADB server didn't ACK
* failed to start daemon *
error: cannot connect to daemon: No error

adb devices just comes up with:
List of devices attached
* daemon not running. starting it now on port 5037 *
ADB server didn't ACK
* failed to start daemon *
error: cannot connect to daemon: No error
error: cannot connect to daemon: No error

Any idea? Win 10 x64 H815

Got feeling its a driver issue. Shows the driver is LG MTP driver. Shouldn't it be an adb interface driver when usb debugging on? Can run the command from FWUL just fine, just not from windows 10

That's why FWUL exists ;)

True, but pain as my WiFi card doesn't work on it and it asks for password when trying to access my Windows drive (I don't have one). So have to stick instructions on USB stick for anything that requires rebooting bootloader (I can run commands once in Windows once I'm in bootloader mode)

Regarding WiFi write your exact pc model or even better if you know your WiFi card in the FWUL thread.

I had some problems this week to unlock my new G4 bootloader. I don't remember the error on "CMD" but, I solve it using "PowerShell" as Administrator. I'm with Win 10 x64 ver. 1803. Try it...

Ok, done that. Luckily I installed windows 7 x64 :laugh:eek:n a small partition on my drive just as a backup OS in case I ever needed it. Was able to dual boot and install drivers without issue and can use adb and fastboot no problem on that. Now unlocked with trwp installed.

I just unlocked bootloader, installed TWRP, root with supersu and flashed LG G6 port with Android Nougat.

Now i have some questions..

1)How can i uninstall some apps, like google search and some lg bloatware?
2)Can i root with magisk and install some modules like GMS doze?
3)Does aggressive doze on greenify work?

Thanks for this wonderful thread!

I probably have the latest LGMobileDriver_WHQL_Ver_4.0.4 drivers installed. In this situation, if the first adb reboot command is running, the bootlader should do a driver downgrade
*
version - even though on Windows 7 for the first time with these drivers unlocked the bootlader?
*
I am currently using Windows 10 and I have the CMD console working properly - at least it does - because the adb reboot command the bootlader works for me and restarts me
*
smartphone for the bootladera menu.
*
I have all the required files in the folder C: \ Program Files (x86) \ Minimal ADB and Fastboot - so it should work.
*
Why Waiting For Devince?
*
I am asking you for support.
*
I follow this instruction> https://developer.lge.com/resource/mobile/RetrieveBootloader.dev
*
I put Screenshot_3.png out of what exactly the CMD console says after typing fastboot oem device-id
And I put Screenshot_2018-06-0918-08.png done in a smartphone. After selecting yes - the console still informs
message of waiting for any device.

Take a look at the device manager and if your phone is recognized as it should for the effect.
See if you didn't forgot of "8. Enable OEM unlock on your phone. Activating the "Enable OEM unlock" is necessary for the bootloader unlock. To enable OEM unlock, go to Settings > Developer options and check Enable OEM unlock."
"I have all the required files in the folder C: \ Program Files (x86) \ Minimal ADB and Fastboot - so it should work." you install them or just place the folder there?
Latest driver are "LGMobileDriver_WHQL_Ver_4.2.0", or higher... yours are old.
