So my mom's Atrix is running 2.3.4 but I'm not sure which one is the correct code, 4.5.2A-74_OLE-31 or 45.31.0.MB860.AsiaRetail.en03? Like the 4.5.141... Which one is the one? And can I use this method to root it?
You need to root to delete that file as it's in system.Everything worked perfectly but I can't delete the the file you mentioned. What can I do?
i had this problem too. once the volume buttons go, you need to replace it b/c it will keep you stuck at fastboot or rsd. the flex cable the volume buttons are on is the camera flex cable. extremely hard to find. buy a new device, open it up, swap out motherboard with your current motherboard, and good to goMy old Atrix have broken volume buttonsand no they are completely broken
Is there any way to install a custom ROM ??? Or is it not even worth trying??
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=43869547Hi, I have a ATRIX MB860 with CM 9 rom and unlock bootloader. Is it possible to to flash with RSDLite the original (Retail Greece, Central Europe, Nordics 2.3.4 / 45.31.20) with SBF file?
Hi, I'm new here.Edited May 16 2012
5c. type "fastboot flash recovery recovery-atrix5.img" Press Enter.
If you have an unlocked bootloader and cwm recovery, then you can install latest cm 7 nightly, think of it as a "stock" custom rom, everithing just works and you can install many mods that are in the forum, designed for cm7.Hi, I'm new here.
I was trying to upgrade the kernel of my Atrix, just because the stock one doesn't support mounting nfs/smb shares (yes, I've tried some .ko modules, but they didn't work).
I followed the procedure, but, for an unknown reason, I missed/forgot the step of above (flashing the CWM): since I didn't know, I went ahead and tried to install a custom kernel, but the result was to block my phone.
Trying many things, I re-flashed the "intl-fix-try1.sbf" file again, which unlocked the phone, then I started all over again, being eventually able to see the CWM. From there iI installed a first kernel (Faux123's 1GHz kernel, which should include the needed modules) but, after restarting the phone, it automatically returned to the CWM.
Thinking to have done something wrong with the kernel, I installed some whole new ROMs, the last of which is http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2167927 but nothing changed.
I've eventually been able to boot the phone by keeping the vol-down button and then selecting "Boot Android (No BP)", but the system is quite unstable (it restarts very often, especially if I use wifi).
If I start the phone selecting "BP HW Diag & Boot AP" the system seems to be stable, but the connected mouse and keyboard don't work (just to be explicit, with the other option the system is unstable even without using the docking-station).
The phone is international (I think it was bought in UK, although it had a T-Mobile logo on startup), and I don't mind using it as a phone.
What could I do?
Is there a way to completely restore my phone to the factory rom, kernel, and boot loader? I've tried to read some other threads, but the links to the ROMs don't work anymore.
Thank You
