[HOWTO] (moto-fastboot) Flash a build on an unlocked Atrix

Anybody can share how to root this? I am trying to edit a file

/system/etc/ppp/peers/pppd-ril.options

so that I can use the sim I use for my iphone. From another thread, I am using ES File Explorer but everytime I try to save the file it says it error while saving it. Probably needs a super user account to change the file.

Use Root Explorer, press Mount R/W before trying to save. After done press Mount R/O.

Unfortunately, this sounds like a hard brick man.

turn on root option(beta) in setting.
don't forget to check mount /system as rw..

Hi there, I hope this is the right area to be posting this! (If not I do apologize) I got an OTA Update Today, with the new 2.3.4 Update from Bell Canada. Downloaded it, then it reboots my phone. Now it gets stuck on a screen that reads:
Failed to boot 2
Starting RSD Mode

It will just sit there indefinately, until I pull the battery. It will then reboot, normally to my homescreen. But within maybe 60 seconds, it Shuts down and goes back to the Failed to Boot 2, Starting RSD Mode screen.
I tried too do a factory reset, with the same results. . . .

I got a kind of boot menu at power-up after unlocking the bootloader, I'm using a ME860 model. Is there a way to hide this menu?
Is that true that once the bootloader is unlocked, I cannot go back? which means I cannot send it to the service center when something goes wrong?
