Have you tried all the mentioned methods? Press the combination buttons a little longer (Maybe that can help).

BTW what did you do that bricked your phone?
Checking if phone is dead or in comma. I must say that comma is the Yellow display with "Emergency mode!!". To get there try this:

1. Remove batteries and SD Card.
2. plugin in back the batteries - make sure they are charged. They are charged if phone when connected to computer shows only the lg logo in shutdown mode.
3. unplug the usb(if plugged in) and try this key combination : Vol up op + back button + power on. Press power on in the end and keep all three pressed till you see a yellow screen. It will take some where around 5-10 seconds for phone to glow up.

Hope this helps.

Followed instructions, press the combination buttons (10 secs~). Not working. :(
I just flashed a custom recovery P500/Thunderg to my LG-LU3700 (Korean model of Optimus One). And after that I can't boot...

From what I understand you still get the LG logo and the following key combinations don't work (Vol down+Home+power / Vol up+Back+power).

Have you tried the KDZ updater. Since your phone at least boots up chances are that tool may identify the phone.

Download the kdz updater and and see if you can get it to read your phone. If yes, then you can download the original firmware and install it.

If nothing works, then guess Service Center is the only option.

Best!

Hi, because with last update increased count of people with bricket phone, I just tryed search for way how to repair this phone. It seems, that last possible way how to save your phone is emergency mode.

I would like to notify you, that I didn't tested it (I'm had not luck enough to brick my phone yet :)). I just searched and tried write this for help to others.

So, let's go on.

1) If it's not possible connect to phone via ADB (in Adroid SDK/tools run "adb shell") at all you will try next steps. If it will work, you can use another, verified tools like custom recovery or KDZ_FW_UPD (search on forum for more) [HOWTO] Flash original firmware on P500, )

2) If you fail in previous step, you can try enter into emergency mode manually and try to flash ROM with KDZ_FW_UPD:
  1. Download KDZ updater and uncompress it
    http://www.4shared.com/file/UleS4dP3/KDZ_FW_UPD_EN.html
  2. Install msxml.msi from the uncompressed directory
  3. Charge your battery to almost full state (I'm not sure, but it can be reason if phone doesn't start)
  4. Turn phone off somehow (remove battery etc.)
  5. Install drivers properly
    • Get rid of all usb drivers like Nokia, microsoft visual ++ run time environments
    • Install the LG drivers by selecting the update manager from the lg site
    • Disable LGE Virtual Modem. In your Windows operating system, go to Control Panel > System > Hardware > Device Manager > Modems > Right click on LGE Virtual Modem and click Disable.
  6. Shake the handset (I know, it sounds ... strange, but it helps for ones, so... why don't try it?)
  7. Press and keep pressed "Volume up"+"Return" and connect USB cable to phone
  8. Yellow screen with text emergency mode should appeared
  9. Run KDZ_FW_UPD.exe (Has administrator).
    Select Type : 3GQCT
Select PhoneMode : DIAG (in case of fail try EMERGENCY, and as last chance use CS_EMERGENCY)
  10. In KDZ file : Choose the ROM file you downloaded in the first step
  11. Press Launch software update
List to do based on Zecanilis's [HOWTO] Flash original firmware on P500

3) Still no success? Wait for more "What I can do" or just go to LG and let repair on them.

Please let me know if it works. I just searched for way and I haven't possibility to test this steps for now. I will do update if it will be necessary, same as I will try describe more about software which I founded.
Indian link doesn't work... Please help!!!!

Hello,

Thanks for the recovery steps you posted. Yesterday I've upgraded my ROM to 10N and "bricked" my phone. It would not go past the Android logo.

1. I've downloaded 10c Europe KDZ.
2. I removed the battery to shut it down, put the battery back and connected it to the PC. Then I've pressed the magic combination :) to get into recovery.
3. When the phone got stuck on Android logo again I started KDZ and was able to read phone information!
4. I flashed the 10c and the phone after 30 secs started but with lots of "force close" of applications like MMS and etc. Also the Home and Search buttons did not work at all.
5. I've done a factory reset this morning and installed everything back and all is fine now (all buttons work and etc).

In short:

I had 10B on the phone, tried to update to 10N (Europe) -- phone bricked. I had LauncherPro, Home Manager, one custom widget and no special apps that could interfere with the update (if that is even possible).

P.S. No shaking of handset was necessary :)))

I also bricked the phone. on boot it got stuck at the LG logo. Bricking seems to be easily achieved by forgetting to disable the LG Modem driver. Apparently the modem driver interferes during flashing. Also I noted that kdz is not stable under Win2k, I switched to WinXP to flash successfully. I saw several aborted flashing attempts in WinXP with modem driver enabled. I was always able to get into emergency mode by pressing volume up and return and then connecting the usb cable to the computer. I have flashed numerous devices in my life, with home brew interfaces etc, the LG P500 is so far the most difficult as kdz and drivers are not stable IMO.

Ok so I have tried just about everything.

Followed the different methods in the thread.

My problem I can't get kdz to recognise the phone.

Goes and does what it does and come up at the end with: PHONE WAS NOT FOUND and then FINISHED.

Thinking it is time to take to service center only thing it is a 4 hour drive from here.

Therefore any suggestions would be appreciated.

I was able to do the KDZ, actually thats the only way possible. Please add this to the list:

1. Get rid of all usb drivers like Nokia, microsoft visual ++ run time environments.
2. Install the LG drivers by selecting the update manager from the lg site.
3. Disable the modem driver.
4. Once done, reboot the handset and when it has come to emergency mode connect it via USB.
5. Its going to detect it as usb drive. Launch KDZ. No need to go into Emergency mode.
6. shake the handset - IT DID WORKED FOR ME.

My suggestion don't give up. It took me around 14 hours to bring the handset back to original firmware and here I am today trying to boot the rom once again.
7. UPDATE AND ENJOY.
Hey man where did you find original India ROM? Please share it with me.

Well, it seems on some problem in linking of library (just try search for GetProcAdressError(127)) and if you try search more accurately you will find post with similar problem.

Solution is using of supported operating system, and it seems that most better in this case is using of Windows XP, 32bit. Anyway I have Win7 64bit Home Premium and it works fine (I used KDZ_UPD for 2 times).
