The most annoying thing in gameloft games (like: Modern Combat 2) is that you can play in multiplayer only when you are connected to a WiFi network. But there is a simple way to bypass it. Root is required.
1. Turn WiFi on.
2. Download Android Wifi Tether:
ht tp: // co de.goog le.c om/p/android-wifi-tether/
This app in general turns your phone into a WiFi router, but it can also "tell" the phone, that wifi is on, so gameloft games multiplayer will work.
3. Open the app and go to MENU -> Setting -> Change Setup-Method and select Softap (master)
4. Uncheck "Force WiFi driver reloading"
5. Start tethering
6. Open the notification bar. If the WiFi icon is enabled, it means everything is working! But don't press the WiFi icon!
7. Now you can play Modern Combat 2 or other games on 3G!
If your phone crashes:
After you start tethering, go to superuser options and disable root permisions for android wifi tether.
