hi,
my latest baseband update to MBMJ1 using stock release through ODIN caused
cleaning of internal storage. luckily recently i've made backup using rsync
so no data has been lost but anyway this pissed me off.
i decide no more stock on my phone so i've prepared flashable modems
from latest two releases.
details: they include NON-HLOS.bin file which is flashed
to /dev/block/mmcblk0p1. they are not exact of size of mmcblk0p1 partition
but i've compared it and its content is exact subset of beginning of partition
till offset 0x028546ff which is size of NON-HLOS.bin file. i've tested flashing it
between them both and everything works and match. however when compared
with modems of other S3 variants the size and content after above offset differ.
this means you can use it as long as your base modem is from dedicated to
SC06D stock firmware. it means:
SC06DOMBMF1
SC06DOMALK2
SC06DOMAMA2
SC06DOMALJ3
SC06DOMALI3
SC06DOMALG6
SC06DOMALG1
SC06DOMALF5
SC06DOMBMJ5
SC06DOMBMK2
you can check it in settings->about->baseband.
You have been warned!!! Read with understanding, don't drink before or during flashing!!! only after
Warning: Those modems (radio / baseband) are for the Japanese S3 Docomo (SC-06D) variant only!!
Flashing Guide
