Hi, I face problem after installing kernel, after succesfully installing the kernel, my phone reboot and then when it turning on, blank screen appear for 2-3 second and then it dies.. I push the on/off button to turn it on but nothing happen. I pull the battery off/insert it back and power on the phone but still the same happen, blank screen and dies... when I open the flash tool and plug the usb cable to the phone the output are :

Code:
31/028/2012 08:28:47 - INFO - <- This level is successfully initialized
31/028/2012 08:28:47 - INFO - Flashtool Version 0.9.0.0 built on 2012-07-19 22:57:15
31/028/2012 08:28:47 - INFO - You can drag and drop ftf files here to start flashing them
31/028/2012 08:28:52 - INFO - Device connected with USB debugging on
31/028/2012 08:28:52 - INFO - Connected device : U20
31/028/2012 08:28:52 - INFO - Installed version of busybox : BusyBox v1.18.4 (2011-04-04 18:40:20 CDT) multi-call binary.
31/028/2012 08:28:52 - INFO - Android version : 2.1-update1 / kernel version : 2.6.29.6-nAa-jb-03
31/028/2012 08:28:53 - INFO - Root Access Allowed

so in my opinion the phone not dies after the blank screen. I tried geting the phone to flashmode but fail.. trying reset by updating using Sony companion but the software didn't detect the phone...

so I'm in the dead end here.. any opinion/suggestion to solve my problem?

I have a problem. I tried to run the semc.cmd even though I had NOT RECOGNIZED SIMLOCK CERTIFICATE. Now my phone doesn't work with sim card inside, I tried with various cards. If I start the phone with sim, it asks for pin, and then nothing happens. When I remove the sim, everything works fine.
Can you please suggest something, what can fix this issue? Thank you very much!

EDIT: OK, I solved the problem, I used WotanServer's client to unlock the bootloader again, and it helped. (wotanserver.com)

Im using flashtool 0.9.10.1 on linux (debian) to unlock the bootloader on my x10mp.
The date on the sticker below the battery says 10W23 so it should be ok for unlocking.

I plugged in the phone as indicated in flashtool (flashtool->plugins->unlock BL), and got the following:

INFO - Processing loader
26/056/2013 17:56:34 - INFO - Checking header
26/056/2013 17:56:34 - INFO - Flashing data
26/056/2013 17:56:36 - INFO - Loader : S1_Loader_Root_8e35 - Version : R4A045 / Bootloader status : UNROOTABLE
26/056/2013 17:56:36 - INFO - Start Reading property
26/056/2013 17:56:36 - INFO - Reading TA finished.
26/056/2013 17:56:36 - INFO - Ending flash session
26/056/2013 17:56:36 - INFO - Found semcSL
26/056/2013 17:56:36 - INFO - You can now unplug and turn on device, then plug it again

does this mean the BL cannot be unlocked on my phone? or am I doing something wrong?

the "drivers" folder in the flashtool installation is empty.

also, when I click Help->Check Drivers it shows:
26/013/2013 18:13:43 - INFO - List of ADB devices :
26/013/2013 18:13:43 - INFO - - none
26/013/2013 18:13:43 - INFO - List of fastboot devices :
26/013/2013 18:13:43 - INFO - - none

any suggestions?

TIA

HOW TO UNLOCK BOOTLOADER NEWBIES LOOK HERE

Alright if you are reading this thread I assume you are a noob(no offense) so I'm going to simplify(as in speak in simple english, not programming jargon) the process which is found here: http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=1254225 :D

BEFORE YOU EVEN TRY ANYTHING, TAKE OUT YOUR BATTERY COVER, TAKE OUT YOUR BATTERY, AND CHECK YOUR MANUFACTORING DATE. IF IT IS 11W29 OR ABOVE, DO NOT TRY THIS AS IT WILL HARD BRICK YOUR PHONE.

So first you have to download some files.
    .Unlock Software-Credits goes to the_laser(msm7227)
    .s1tool-Credits goes to the_laser(s1tool.7z)
    .PCCompanion
    .Flashtool 0.6.8.0
    .Gordon's Gate

    1. Now the first step is to install Gordon's Gate. It works for X8, X10 and X10 mini pro. It should work with W8 too but I won't guarantee. Once you have done that, restart your computer.

    2. Then, open task manager(even noobs should know how), click on processes and kill any ADB.exe process you find in there and DO NOT load Flashtool for the rest of the installation process. If you do not have PC Companion, download the given attachment and install it. Once that is done, connect your phone to your PC and ensure that it can recognize your phone.

    3. Now, unzip the s1tool.7z and msm7227.7z and extract thefiles to a folder on your desktop, naming the folder anything you want. I named it X8 Bootloader Unlock so that it is easy to recognise.

    4. Disable your antivirus as it might recognise ADB.exe as virus. There is NO virus in ADB.exe and the antivirus will interfere with the unlocking process :(

    5a. Turn off your phone.

    b. Open the folder you unzipped S1tool to and run S1tool.exe. Then, click on IDENTIFY/DO JOB button before proceeding to step 5c.

    c. Boot your phone into flash mode(insert USB cable while holding down the back button; make sure you installed Gordon's Gate found in step 1). Continue holding back button until you get some output in S1tool. The LED on your phone should flash green if it is in flash mode.

It should look something like this:

    9/9/2011 21:45:49 SEMC SIMLOCK CERTIFICATE
    9/9/2011 21:45:49 Elapsed:36 secs.

IF THE HIGHLIGHTED R IS SMALL LETTER(r), YOUR BOOTLOADER IS ALREADY UNLOCKED. If not, continue.

If the simlock certificate(Bolded, underlined and coloured red) specified is SEMC SIMLOCK CERTIFICATE, or anything other than NOT RECOGNIZED SIMLOCK CERTIFICATE, or if you are sure you sim-unlocked your phone using Omnius, jump to step 6a.
If the simlock certificate specified is NOT RECOGNIZED SIMLOCK CERTIFICATE, you can't unlock the bootloader of your phone. If you try, radio capability of your phone will be disabled (this has been reported to be untrue by a number of people who claim to have unlocked bootloader successfully with msm7227_semc.cmd). I recommend you do not try as you are a noob.
Do note that the SIMLOCK certificate doesn't mean that you have/don't have a sim lock on your phone.

6a. Disconnect your phone and reboot, then reconnect again.

    b. Enable USB Debugging on your phone(Settings>Applications>Development>USB Debugging)

Note: Don't run Flashtool and terminate any ADB.exe process you find in task manager before performing step 6c.

    c. Since you are a newbie, I will only be posting how to unlock phones with SEMC SIMLOCK CERTIFICATE. For the others, please try the forum link above, but bewarned, you should be experienced before you try those.

7a. Run msm7227_semc.cmd in the folder you unzipped the unlocking files to and press any key to start the unlocking process.

7b. Open the example log included in the folder. Wait 5 minutes. Then, compare the text in msm7227_semc.cmd to those in the example log. They should be similar. Also, the last message on the window should be Press any key to continue.

    Example log:

process requires standard 2.x android firmware.
Press any key to continue . . .
    Getting ROOT rights.

Second, we need to write semcboot ;)
    1130 KB/s (596916 bytes in 0.515s)
    successfully wrote 0003ff00
Press any key to continue . . .

Note: It is recommended to turn off your antivirus before starting this as antivirus might interfere with the unlocking of bootloader on your phone (some antivirus software claim that there is virus in ADB.exe even though there isn't one)

Note: If your log is very different from this please check if your bootloader is unlocked using step 5c. If it is not unlocked, turn off your antivirus and repeat step 7a again. If you get some "error: protocol fault" messages, that is completely fine, this is because the "problem" is that your phone was still rebooting and USB debugging mode is not turned on when rebooting so it couldn't acquire the status and had an error. If you get many "Access is denied" messages, turn off your antivirus and try again. Some users reported that the "Access is denied" messages were eradicated and they successfully unlocked their bootloaders after turning off their antivirus. If you get: could not find specified folder(like me when I tried the first time:D) use another computer(preferably laptop).

Alternatively, you could unlock your bootloader with Flashtool, although it didn't work for me.

Start Flashtool, connect your phone and then wait for your phone to be recognized.

Then, go to: Plugins/(insert device name here) Unlock/run

A screen will pop up and ask you to connect your phone in Flash mode

    1. Unplug the USB cable from your phone.
    2. Turn off your phone.
    3. Press and hold the "Back" button on your phone.
    4. Plug in the USB cable to your phone.
    5. Release the "Back" button after the screen that popped up disappears.

    The unlocking process will start.

Wait until Flashtool asks you to disconnect the cable off the phone, then turn on the device and connect the usb cable once again.

Wait for Flashtool to push the required files to your phone.

After a while, Flashtool will have the message "Successfully applied unlock" and the phone will reboot.

    8. Disconnect your phone from the PC. Congratulations, your phone has an unlocked bootloader now!

How to check if your phone has an unlocked bootloader

Open s1tool.exe found in the folder you extracted s1tool to and then click IDENTIFY/DO JOB button.

Boot your phone into flash mode (Press and hold back button while connecting it to your PC using an usb cable. The LED on your phone should flash green). Continue holding back button until you get some output in s1tool.

yes you can unlock your bootloader... there is always a risk in everything... PCC will restore your phone to STOCK.. but it'll not relock the bootloader..

Edit:: only root access will be lost.
