[HOWTO] USB Unbrick

Is mine USB bricked?

I rooted my phone earlier. I tried changing from the stock ROM to Cyanogen Mod 7 using Rom Manager. Now my phone is stuck on the CM7 boot screen. I tried using this guide but I can't get further than Step 2.

I don't understand how I am supposed to move those two files on the SD card or use Connectbot if my phone just gets stuck on the CM7 screen after I enter:

fastboot oem boot

Or am I missing something?

I will appreciate any help. I thought rooting was the hard part and now I'm stuck with this.

why do u think that u r usb bricked?!!!!
u have to get back to recovery and full wipe and reflash the rom...

When I type "'fastboot oem boot" then I become a failure:

FAILED (status malformed (1 by finished. total time: 0.002s)

I can't get to recovery and my sdcard can't also be mounted.

Pls Help

How long have you left it on CM7 boot screen? Can take a while for first boot. What error do you get when trying to go into recovery? Have you checked your SD card is good?
