HRM freezing

I really want to love this watch.. I mean I waited months for it. But, it is making it very difficult. Has anyone else tried working out with the HRM with an application that actually uses the HRM? So far I tried it with RunGPS and AgileFit, and every time the HR has frozen. I don't know whether I have a defective watch or if it just doesn't work well by design. -cjr-

I really don't use it but the one time I did it worked fine.

I'll be interested to hear your experience. I did download another application, SGT -- Sports Gear Tracker. I didn't use it during exercise, but just had it running for a few minutes while I was sitting working. It did continue to read my HR without freezing. I'll try this application next time. If it works, then that tells me it is probably a software problem rather than a hardware problem. I realize this is going to be more of a smart watch than a fitness watch, but I don't want to wear both, or switch back and forth. I really only need it to track my exercise, HR, Steps...
