@mikeos: May I ask you a pretty silly and maybe stupid question? I'm considering to buy a Mate 20 Pro and I'm now wondering or a bit concerned whether there is a difference between the LYA-L09 and LYA-L29? Don't worry, I know what the real difference between the two is, but is there a difference between the two firmware wise? Is there a difference regarding the availability of firmware versions? Can you flash L09 firmwares to L29 and vice versa? Thanks a whole lot in advance
From what I understood it should work. Do not have L09 to see the differences or test things.

Package Not Found!

Today trial...

*** (Additional step for L0C): Edit the c:\users\YOURHOMEFOLDER\appdata\local\hisuite\user data\updatedogdev\hisuiteconfig.xml file and change LYA-L29 to LYA-L0C everywhere it occurs and save the file.

Now strange error occurred? Package not found for your device.
Thanks,

Hey Crew,

Followed Xalies video. Get towards the end and after I reconnect the internet (instead of modifying the files), I click on "recover" and then get the message "you are not connected to the internet" in the recovery window. Thing is I am connected to the internet.............

Antivirus disabled. I have used the system to update via the f***H method in the past.

***UPDATE*** Finally got it working thanks to someone on another forum. I had to change the "hosts" file to get it to go past that point. Disbaling the internet connection by removing the ethernet connection did not work for me.

Any ideas?

Cheers

Yes, it downloads what's available, decompresses it then switches in the firmware that you are actually going to install.
Normally how much time it will take to download from server.
It means every time I have to download firmware manually and then after from hw hisuite server.
Thanks for help.

Obviously varies based on your connection speed.

Yes, there are unfortunately 2 downloads - the update_full_base.zip you get manually and then HiSuite downloads whatever the current "live" version is for your device before HSTool swaps the manual one in.

My Updating log:
LYA09

Original firmware
.122 Optus
Dload method
.187
HSTool
.206
Dload method

HSTool

I guess we can downgrade but at your "own risks" .

I've taken the risks so yeah for everyone that are asking about downgrade here is my experience.

Cheers!

Thanks for all
Finally today I have successfully flashed Global. 206 Firmware on my L0C-C792 Canadian Mate 20 Pro.

OP pls update first post to edit husuite config. xml file manually for L0C device otherwise it won't work.

I have a question do we bypass download current live firmware from hw server for our device.

Thanks,
goldybewon
