they are like 6 different apps titled substratum do i use the one says (substratum)View Nougat Theme ----sense it costs i dont want to get it wrong Thanks

Did u instal the app substratum from the playstore ?

You guys are talking about 2 different things. Dayliter is talking about the theme.zip from Raymond and you (decodertje) is talking about substratum.

Substratum has nothing to do with this theme thread.

Lol have you seen it been posted ? Ray is MIA since January........says enough i guess. And to be more specific, apktool still doesn't handle the recourses of oreo well so making themes is not easy to impossible. Decompiled apk files will get borked on recompiling them again.

I tried a lot of apktool versions to decompile framework and systemUI files but none work flawless.

I know that this thread is not about Substratum, but i think you can have things pretty dark if you use Substratum and a black HTC theme. You can make one in HTCs website using theme maker pro. I am using a black one i made+substratum+substratum default dark theme .You can even make the accent colour in the HTC theme match the accent colour from the default dark theme .
The Default Dark and Sai's Oreo Theme work well on the HTC 10.

As you asked this 4 weeks ago, and also my answer stands. If you can get a fully updated and working apktool for oreo i am happy to port the stuff.

So I guess that was it. It's the end of this awesome dark theme for Oreo and beyond. I may have to settle with MM for the rest of my HTC 10 days purely because of this mod. [emoji16]

The files in the theme are very outdated and only will lead to incompatible files. A new dark theme won't arise as i tried also but oreo is a biatch to fully theme properly.
