First and foremost greetings to all. Thanks for taking time to read this. I'll try and keep it short.
My HTC 816 is rooted and still on Andriod Kitkat 4.2.2 and as long as I had the phone have noticed that notifications can not be modified in the same manner as the ringtones where you have the + option to add files. I have seen the thread about assigning the contact a specific ringtone and thus it changes the notification tone as well. I noticed that all the notification files are flac and have converted the mp3 files to flac. Dropped them in the systems audio notification file (All of which are very small files) and when you navigate to the notification settings, the files are present but not playing them as they do for stock files.
This expedited a chat with HTC Support and found out there is no way change this. (I gave HTC an eyefull to read for this unacceptable issue and politely and professionally asked that they fix this) I do like this phone for the most part but now considering going back to LG.
Has anyone found a work around? Was it either updating to Lollipop or flashing a custom rom?
