HTC Desire HD Android 2.3 Update

Have a Vodafone branded unlocked phone here in Pakistan.

Received the OTA update yesterday. Everything works fine except for the messaging app which force closes everytime I open it. Tried wiping and reinstalling all apps, tried deleting all messages, still no luck. Handcent works fine though. Anyone else having this problem?

did it work before the update?

which update did you go? 2.42 or 2.50?

I've downloaded this RUU:
RUU_Ace_Gingerbread_S_hTC_Asia_WWE_2.37.707.3_Radio_12.54.60.25_26.09.04.11_M2_release_188759_signed
and mine is 1.83 but after a while a message appeared that use correct ROM.
please help me
also I can't get OTA via any connection e.g gprs, wifi, usb. I'm in Iran

I have encountered a small problem since the update.

I downloaded a new skin from HTC Hub (Music lover) and the 'Download Complete' notification will not go away.

I tried deleting the skin and downloading it again. Now there's 2 notifications. Clicking on them takes me to the skin picker page. I have tried turning my phone off/on, this didn't help. Neither did applying the skin, or manually force stopping HTC Hub and Skin picker.

I feel like there should be an easy way to solve this.

Any suggestions?

My solution is to download the skin again but cancel it when downloading. The icon will disappear and the downloaded skin remains.
