HTC Droid Incredible Auto-Pressing

My Droid Incredible (completely stock at the moment) keeps clicking all over the screen by itself, like if I go into a menu, mess around with some settings, open an app such as Facebook, the phone will automatically start registering touches when I'm not even touching the screen, and sometimes makes the apps close, anyone know how to fix this?

No screen protector, nothing under the optical button...

By any chance you wouldn't have the 9ft eco friendly charging cord that Verizon sells would you? I have the same issue when I plug in my Razr Maxx with that cord, the phone takes on a mind of its own. I found it to be the plug part of the cord that caused the issue so I used an old charging end on the 9ft data cable and all is good. I am sure it has something to do with the eco friendly part that causes the issue.
