now, with this in mind, does this affect HTC users using custom aosp roms, or just people running sense roms? would we have to take updates and lose root so their updates can patch drivers and **** were unaware of? etc, you get my drift.

Reading the actual complaint it seems like its all either at the apk level or android os level, nothing in the drivers so Asop users should be fine.

After this though, I can guarantee that I will never buy an htc phone again. This is insane to me.

i love HTC, but to find this out sickens me that they think so little of peoples data. its a sad day for us who like sense. oh welly then.

It's been working up to this with HTC, Carrier IQ came installed on your Shift remember? It's just another step in the wrong direction.... Google is becoming even more of a data whore too... :banghead: I don't like people "spying" on me or doing crap to my phone without my knowledge. Epic Fail HTC, and to think I thought they were getting back into the game... SMH.
