It probably doesn't mean much to you guys, but today is a sad day as an HTC owner. I loved HTC phones since the g1. I've owned only HTC for the past 8+ years and now my u11 is on its last legs.

I ordered the OnePlus 8 pro, but I'm not sure if I'll like it. It feels weird to change to a different ecosystem after only HTC all my life.

It's been a good run boys and still holding out hope that HTC releases a proper flagship. BTW the squeeze feature for flashlight was totally not a gimmick. It's so easy to activate the flashlight in the dark and fast!!

It's weird. I've always looked forward to getting the latest and greatest HTC had to offer, but now it feels as if I'm getting a new phone out of necessity.

Jjrocks. I feel your pain. Unfortunately it will have to be done, with no more real flagships after the U12+. One must move onto something else.

Like you, I do hope HTC do something next year. I myself have still got a years life to take out of this phone. So hoping something gets released. If not, then I hope Google release a proper flagship next year as well. As Samsung isn't an option in the UK cause of the Exynos issue. However I am hearing the next 1k series Exynos will be using the same GPU as others. So hopefully that changes things.

Let's see. 2020 has been a weird year, and no doubt 2021 will be as well. Life has changed for many. Hopefully for the better come 2021 ?

I do miss HTC, and the days of the mega threads

I am still using my u12+ as a secondary device in the house, but not the retail version which I broke, and DIY repaired into a transparent blue, sadly the USB charging port died after a while (Wouldn't be a problem if wireless charging was an option) what I still use is the first prototype which surprisingly had better touch buttons than the second prototype, the prototype is also a little different with a unique color, my daughter loves using it too

my main driver remains the snapdragon S10, heavily debloated plus Nova and Gcam, this combo proved to be good to me so much that I didn't bother to update it above Android 9, I don't want to risk losing its speed or modifications, the only real problem is the 128GB internal being barely enough nowadays

anyway I miss HTC flagships, I love their VR devices which are equally incredible and I hope for a return to form sooner or later

oh and I hope the industry brings back the headphones jack, I can't describe enough how convenient it is on the S10, the PS5 controller still has that!

Happy holidays everyone
