htc gallery app

Hi folks,i was installed latest htc gallery app from apkmirror. App linked to camera but when i want to see latest captured photos it says gallery app force closed. Pls Report to htc bla bla bla.

Jow can i solve this problem?

If we solve force close problem, we can use it and get rid of google photos ?

I got tired of Gallery/Photos issues and tried 4 of Google Play's highest rated photo apps.
Settled on QuickPic, and it is perfect. Easy to use and doesn't argue with you.

I'm using the HTC Gallery app, v. 9.51.755029, with no problem. Rooted HTC U11 with the Bad Boyz Unlocked U11 ROM.

Not really: last photo taken shows in lower right corner of Camera, when touched it shows the pic, not Photos.
Probly because after installing QP, I disabled Photos & Gallery.

Try..... :
1] Disabling Chrome
2] Ensure you have installed/ updated & enabled Android Web View
3] Try HTC Gallery app again (hopefully no FC this time)

The Apkmirror content will be installed as "unknown" source because it didn't come from playstore. This will cause issues for apps that are installed in the internal memory as those have system access, the apk you installed does not. Conflicting security rights. You won't get it working without s-off.

To stop your gallery picking stuff up you can create a blank file called ".nomedia"in the directory/folder you DON'T want scanned and it should skip it. You will need to restart the phone for it to take effect.

I get the HtcGallery.apk from the RedmiNote5 folder and it works well in my HTC U Ultra. Thanks a lot.
