HTC M8S need help =(

hm.... i guess i need your help...because my phone userdata is encrypted and i cant decrypt it.... im trying to unlock my bootloader but when i do my phone reboots and the bootloader is still locked.... if i place the ruu it doesnt go throug .... error "Device halted due to large image update fail"

this is my very first HTC device so maybe someone knows what t do.... im not a noob in android general but on my sony devices such problems where much easyer to handle ;-( so i would be thankful for help <3
maybe the RUU i have is the wrong ... i got it from androidhost (the only M8S i could find)

I see the firmware necessary is : http://ir-file.com/show.php?token=328688 ; But i haven't access to the firmware. My subscription are closed since a long time.
I've not found the firmware in another website (Free).. You must be subscribe (buy access) for downloading the good firmware :S !

Soluce 2 : If you know other user of same version (cidnum: T-MOB101) can you provide a ROM backup, it's possible to restore your phone.. But not like HTC RUU..

If you have this file, you must be into bootloader mode, with the bootloader (re)locked.
In a CMD you must write :
- fastboot oem rebootRUU
- fastboot flash zip YOUFIRMWAREDOWNLOADED.zip
/!\ Look the console. If an message indicate Reflash immediately.. Reflash imediately (It's for apply RADIO ROM HTC). /!\
If All it's OK, you must writer :
- fastboot reboot

The first boot must be long, waiting.


PS : If you want, you can share this ROM for all community

hm... faboot did not worked ( the phone didnt booted in ruu mode ) so i tried sdcard method... sbl1 failed to flash... i tryed again and the phone shuted down... now no longer turns on... since i have never unlocked the bootloader i send it in now

Do you have this file? Can you copy paste exact complete name of it? Can you upload it on a free server?

I don't think you can "manually" flash the update zip, unless you have s-off. At least that is the case with the "regular" M8.

You are probably better off trying to get the current version RUU (if you can find it), and then see if the update comes through.

Also, posting the same question in multiple threads is not allowed. It clutters up the forum, and confuses those trying to help you. You really going to keep track of all those threads?

And for all the posts, I don't see a single one which properly explains what your problem is, and/or what you are trying to accomplish. Just copy/past of the same one-line question. May be other ways to solve the problem, if we knew what it was.
