Hi all,

I'm a little at my wits end trying to find a solution to battery drain issue since I rooted my HTC One M8. I was on stock 4.4.2 when I rooted and installed TWRP recovery. I installed stock recovery from 4.4.4 OTA and upgraded to 4.4.4 - followed by reflash TWRP, battery issue still the same. I have modified system\etc\permissions\platform.xml to give apps write access to my sd card and gone back to stock recovery but no change

Prior to rooting, with fairly heavy daily usage, the battery would last at least 14hours but since rooting and similar usage I'm lucky to get 7-8 hours most days battery is gone just after lunch from 8 in the morning. Right now battery usage for the last hour is Google Services 61% Android system 27% Android OS 29% Cell Standby 3% Phone Idle 2% , in the last 6 hours Google Services has averaged 42% with the rest being mostly the same. I have done many searches for info on what might be causing this issue and have tried any solution I have come across but without success. Any pointers would be much appreciated.
