Although you don't specifically say so, I assume you are trying to flash a custom ROM. If so, you need to tell us which one.

What version TWRP are you using?

What error did you get flashing the ROM?

Also, I don't understand why so many folks do not make a TWRP backup of their stock/current ROM before trying to flash a custom ROM. It is just basic common sense to make a backup, before messing with the ROM. For that matter, it also surprises me that folks will try to replace the ROM, and have absolutely no backup plan, or knowledge of how to return to stock if something goes wrong (as it obviously can, and has) including already having the RUU, etc.

Best practice: I never even start to root a device or flash a custom ROM (unlock bootloader, etc.) without first doing the research tyo fully understand how to return to stock, having the correct files (RUU, etc.) downloaded and ready to go, etc.

Another thing, if you wiped "system" before flashing a ROM, this is unnecessary. In a case like yours, not a good idea. to Flash a ROM, all you need to wipe is data, cache and Dalvik (it says that right on the TWRP wipe screen, that the default wipe is all you need most of the time). My suggestion would be to stay away from the "Advanced" wipe options unless someone knowledgeable tells you to specifically, and you fully understand that the options are, and the consequences of wiping them will be.

If your case, if you had not wiped system, and failed to flash the ROM, you would still have a working OS (stock ROM). If the custom ROM had flashed successfully, the ROM script would automatically wipe system before installing the new ROM. So doing it manually is absolutely not necessary, and in your case left you in a bad situation.

Answer the questions above, and we can probably get the ROM flashed properly.

Thanks for the reply.
Yeah I was flashing RR OS 8.1 and I did create a backup but unfortunately I wiped internal storage too, I didn't know exactly why. Was out of my mind.
And I was using Twrp 3.1 latest.
But after researching I got the original stock which was the op6b1000 European region 6.12.x.xx.x radio 1.29.x.x..

Now I am able to start it. Need to gain s-off now to root it again. Em stuck at there, some says sunshine is best or moonshine etc. Is there any other way to gain s-off. Please let me know, because I have seen 9.1 in the rom section and I'm curious about it..
Thanks again.

You don't need s-off to root. You don't even need root (to flash a custom ROM).

If you relocked the bootloader to RUU, unlock it again, flash TWRP, flash custom ROM.

Sunshine is the only working s-off method. Moonshine predated this device, and never worked on the M8. You may be thinking of firewater, which no longer works; it required a server component to work, which the devs took offline. Any attempt to make firewater (or moonshine) work on the M8 is a delusion and a waste of time.

But again, you don't need s-off.

Lemme try it. In case I got some problem I'll write back.
