So I bought a used HTC One (M8) Verizon unlocked and didn't realize that it is a Windows Phone. I was searching online to see if I can get an updated app store. The only thing I found was to download Update Advisor to see if my phone was eligible for Windows 10 upgrade but it wasn't. I then search all over the place to wanting to convert this Windows phone to an Android setup. But I get lost in this and wondering if someone can point me to the right direction.

Bummer. It's not possible mate. Although it's the same device they both have different software architectures. It was possible during the wp7 era but not now. Best bet is to refund it asap cos we all know those windows phones are dead and it would end up being more of a burden over the course of time. Or resell it...whatever....just get rid of it.
