htc one mini black screen

my uncle softbricked his one mini, and gave it to me to fix. i flashed cyanogenmod, and all was well until i was playing some music on it, i went to dsp manager and as soon as the app launched the screen went black. the phone was on full charge and now is completely unresponsive. no lights or anything. Any ideas?
