RIP HTC as well.
Not giving them a single cent again.

When you officially promise something, you do it.
They won't, so it's my time after 8 years of continuous HTC phone purchases to say "Go f&ck yourselves HTC".
No it's called moving to a flagship based device ( M8, M9, Desire Eye, Butterfly 2. Etc.... ) buying devices that have less development community leads to this because OEMs stop supporting low end based devices.

Flagship-devices are almost large. I don't want to have a frying pan next to my head and for larger mobile screen I use my Win-Tablet.

It's only economical for HTC and they simply broke promises they made.

Exactly.
I don't want sandals for the beach, I already have.

If you are not going to keep your promise, don't promise it.
Instead they advertised it, used it to "separate" themselves from the other manufacturers in advertisements, etc.

Sorry, if I sell you something claiming that in 1 year it will grow wings and fly, and it doesn't, you can and should at least file a lawsuit for misleading you.

So... instead of staying away from them for being outright liars, we should spend more on one of their higher end products ?
NOPE.
N O P E.
No.
Hell no.

Even Samsung did a better job this time.
Unless HTC sees the Samsung counterpart which is using the same processor and LTE chip being upgradeable to Lollipop while theirs isn't.

HTC no more.
