Hi,

I don't know who to tell this, but the HTC U11 was officially unveiled on tuesday the 16th of May. HTC's invitation said on Twitter/Facebook/... "save the date 16.05.2017".
Don't know if I'm clear enough, but it'd be fair I guess to correct the U11 description ?

Why are you facepalming? On the description on here for the HTC U11 it says... 'The HTC U11 was announced on May 15th of 2017. The 5.5" phone features a 1440 x 2560 display.' So the OP is correct to say that the date listed on here is incorrect.

I see your facepalm and raise you a double facepalm!!

You must be American, and have never left the US.

That's May 16, 2017 written in "Rest of the World."

Facepalm.
No, I'm in Paris/France and not one of the many Paris in the US, and with the according flag ;)

Thank you, I'm not the only one who's troubled with the 05/15/2017 (15/05/2017 in France) date...

Sorry, the OP on this thread expressed confusion with 16.05.2017.

No mention was made of 15.05.2017.

Therefore, I assumed someone couldn't understand that 16.05.2017 == 5/16/2017

Desole!

What you assume may be right but everyone should know/ is aware that the date is written differently from one country to another.
But when I write 16.05.2017, how an English/American speaking person can't understand 05.16.2017: there are 12 months per year => day 16 / month 05 / year 2017 ;)

The HTC U11 was announced on May the 16th 2017, 08am in France :)

Edit: please see the screenshot taken on the HTC UK Twitter account ;)

I still fail to understand what the issue is.

Now that Macron is inviting American tech workers to move to France, perhaps I can immigrate and we can discuss all things. :)

I would be so happy if I could live in Bordeaux, Savoie or Haute Savoie. La mieux vie (du vin et des montagnes).
