I'm looking at replacing my OnePlus 3 and I'm looking at the U11. I'd like to keep dual sim and I have to run an app from work that makes rooting and custom ROM's more problematic than useful.

I've seen some threads about the U11 on AT&T but they're mostly about features I dont currently use anyway like VoLTE.

What I'm really wondering is whether there are any known issues with the dual sim version on AT&T that I've missed and whether the U11 is a better option than the OP5.

I owned HTC phones for years from the SX66 through the Desire HD and DesireZ. They've always had great quality which is sometimes lacking on my OP devices. Plus the screen resolution on the U11 just brings home OP5's devotion to the low battery draw HD screens.

I havent been able to try a working U11 and I havent gotten to play around with their current software builds so any insight into there are appreciated.

Can we get a dual SIM U11 in the U.S.? I have the 6gb/128gb U.S. unlocked model but I do not believe it is dual SIM.

I got the 6gb RAM 128gb dual SIM card and is working fine on AT&T and TMobile.

So is yours the unlocked U.S. version? I didn't think it was dual SIM.

There is a dual sim international version that should have most of the AT&T bands which you can buy in the US. That's what I'm looking at. If I could find one to play with for a few minutes it would be easier to know whether jumping to sense form OxygenOS would be an issue or not. Ages ago HTC had the best email etc but I've not had an HTC phone in quite a while. I havent found a current model HTC in any of the local stores that wasnt a display dummy.

I don't understand why they didn't make the U.S. unlocked 6gb dual SIM.

AT&T uses B2, B4, B5, B12, B30.
TMoUS uses B2, B4, B12.
US Unlocked U11 supports B2, B4, B5, B12, missing B30 for AT&T.
International U11 supports B4, B5, B12, missing B2 for TMoUS and B2, B30 for AT&T.

When looking at unlocked dual sim phones there are always missing bands. I suppose i need research the coverage in the states where I spend the most time. Overall it looks like there is enough that it should be workable though.

Had oneplus improved their screen with the 5 id likely go that route without question but I need some better quality on the phone call side of things.

You forgot band 17 which is a major band for AT&T LTE. The U11 definitely supports that.

Missing band 30 is not important. It's only available in limited deployment and is a very small part of their network. Also where there is Band 30, the other LTE bands are already in the area and have been for a long time.

B17 (lower SMH blocks B/C) is a subset of B12 (lower SMH blocks A/B/C). Support for B12, which I did mention, automatically means support for B17.

Also where there is Band 30, the other LTE bands are already in the area and have been for a long time.
And that is exactly why B30 is important in congested urban markets. There aren't that many devices that support it yet, so B30 is a lot less congested than other AT&T LTE bands.

So is there a band 17 or not? Some people always trying to prove they're smarter lol.

B17 does exist.
The only thing I know is that with AT&T I get speeds of 43mbps on download, and 15mbps on upload with my HTC U11 international dual SIM. And with T-Mobile I get 55mbps download and 14 to 20mgbps upload on my HTC U11 international dual SIM.
I think those are very good speeds at least here in Houston Texas.

I have 2 AT&T sims and one issue I have is phones limiting the second sim to 2g only which AT&T no longer supports. My OP3 handles this and I haven't seen any suggestion that this will be an issue with the U11.

I've really liked my OnePlus phones but i'm starting to miss something a little more polished and reliable.

I still consider HTC mail the best mail client, although would be nice if it had rich text 2.0
