HTC U11 Newbie question about UI

Hello I am a newbie and i purchased a HTC U11 from hond kong. I have some questions about the current user interface of htc u11. I had m9 before and the UI seems to have not changed since then. for example when you want to delete text messages you have to delete each indidual one where as samsung you can mass select message to delete. Same again for phone history, you will have to delete the one line at a time you cant select multiple numbers and hit delete. Is there anyway you can change the UI so you can have a similar interface to samsung s7 or s8 or am i missing something in the options.

use google messages
use 3rd party dialer you can delete all history from a specific contact and you can delete all the history

But...yes you can delete multiple SMS ...
Tap on the 3-dot menu key on the top-right corner, then tap delete, then select what you want to delete...no matter if you're in thread view or in a single conversation view.
It's available since M8...You haven't discovered it in that long time? XDDDDDDD
