I have an Honor Note 8,there is again a Huawei browser on it and works on my Mate 8 C636B193
Almost completely in English,only a few Chinese characters,but do not disturb.
Requirement:
Root
Download the File,extract it (packed with 7zip)
Copy in System/priv-app and give Permissions
Browser_tms: rwx r-x r-x
Browser_tms.apk:rw-r-r
lib:rwx r-x r-x
arm64:rwx r-x r-x
all files in the lib Folder rwx rwx rwx
i use Root Explorer,you can entitle all files at once
Reboot-finish
In Huawei Backup can save and restore Bookmarks
