Hay @Phoenix1024; and all other guys, so can you guys tell me what happens when the full OTA update comes in the market for Honor 6x, I mean will we guys be able to get it directly or we will have to go back to 6.0.1 to get full OTA update. This question might be answered by other users too because it's a more or less general question.

Well I don't see any such option, I'm using EMUI 5.0 on my Honor 6x. And to tell the truth I haven't seen raw picture shooting on 4.1 too, but actually I haven't use that for a long time it was just my 3rd day and I got beta update.

Here's how to shoot in raw with the Honor 8 after the update:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-8/how-to/shooting-raw-honor-8-t3532002
"To shoot photos in RAW format, open your camera app in pro photo mode. Swipe to the settings from the right side of your screen and toggle RAW format."
So I wonder whether the new Honor 6x camera app has it, too.

Root EMUI 5.0

https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-6x/development/twrp-t3583413

According to this thread, we can install twrp and flash root. But in order to do that, we have to have an unlocked bootloader and should be able to enter fastboot. Can someone please tell me how to enter the fastboot, as i have tried pressing vol down and power simultaneously while switched off and it didn't work.
Should i unlock my bootloader first. if yess how should i do it ?

In Honor 6x with latest beta update of EMUI 5.0 on top of Nougat we don't have any RAW format shooting option yet may be they will include this thing in full build.

@jayanak69; You use adb fastboot option for that, to be specific on that it's like.

You install adb in your PC or laptop (I recommend minimal adb which can be found on xda-developers.com/forums) with its drivers or something like your mobile's adb drivers and than goto your mobile phone's settings and tap some 7 or 8 times on the Build number to enable developer options and in developers option enable USB debugging and OEM unlock on your phone.
Now while your device is on, connect it with your computer or PC and let the computer detect it. As soon as it's detected run via cmd.exe or if you've installed minimal adb than run adb directly OR find the folder which contains adb files and press and hold shift key on the computer keyboard and right click on the mouse and select open command prompt here on your computer and first give it the command "adb devices" to see if it has recognized your device, when it gives you "adb device and a number + letter mix response " Then it's time to type "fastboot reboot boorloader" and press enter
And now "fastboot oem unlock"
And vola you're done it takes a minute or so and now give it "fastboot reboot" your device will restart and off course will reset to factory default deleting all your files and folders including everything you've on that device.

@xPotato; you are still a potato, (sorry for that joke) all things you need are in this thread but you'll have to go back a little and read some posts of @WRSThONG, i.e. Post # 56 for the files you need to download, posts # 65 & 69 for instructions to install (these things are for those who don't want to use Huawei firmware finder or simply they don't know how to use it)

And if you want to use firmware finder, you'll install it from playstore, open the app and press the refresh button to see available updates, and you'll download the biggest file consisting upon some 2.3** GB, its name will be something like B342 in the end, you still have two options;
1. You download the file for manual install, and create the dload folder in a (good) memory card, unzip the update.zip file and copy paste the unzipped file in that dload folder, insert that SD card in your phone and turn it off, than press and hold both volume buttons (+, -) and power button, it will automatically detect the update package and install, actually I would say that you should follow post # 69 in this thread.

2. You install firmware finder and the same way install another app called firmware finder proxy, and to use this app goto YouTube search how to use firmware finder proxy to update honor 6x and follow the video that way you'll better understand the procedure.

If you still have questions let me know, by tagging my name @talvigi here so that I can reach you sooner. And press thanks button if you think I have been helpful to you.

@talvigi, Thank you so much for the detailed response. Apparently, I found the steps after I posted my question. I'll make sure to go through the entire thread before asking. I appreciate your help :)

Clarifications!!!

@talvigi
Good day!
What is update_full_hw_spcseas.zip and does it have to be included with update.zip? What does it do?
Would I continue to get OTAs (for EMUI5 in the scenario that Huawei releases it officially in the future) if I upgrade to the beta EMUI5 via Firmware Finder?
Ur quick response is highly appreciated.. Thanks.

Well, update_full_hw_spcseas.zip is a must have OTA zip file to update your device to 7.0 EMUI 5.0, without this file your device will be buggy in use, so you must download it along with update.zip and install it after installing the B342 update.zip. But remember you don't need to struggle that much if you use the firmware finder app.

As far as the future OTA updates are concerned, I myself am optimistic to find the actual answer. But I think Huawei or the Huawei firmware finder will not leave us alone, there will come a sulotuion if there is a problem indeed. So, I again think and say, don't worry, and use the Huawei firmware finder app to download the update file, I'll attach a screen shot of the file you have to download.

BLL-L22C636B360 is available!! Has anyone tried it? If so, please tell me whether I should update or not.. like what are the noticable fixes, improvements and new features that were not in B342...tnx..
the changelog gave nothing informational because they're the same for the B342(changelog i mean)
