VRoot Method of Rooting

@xda.kevin , i would definitely make one if there wasnt any ,

But as of now @codelover got a method to Root the phone using TWRP ( Recovery method)

Rooting will stop you from doing Online OTA Updates ! - Be warned !!

i will shortly bring in the Vroot method of rooting the Huawei phone !

As XR said Codelover has a great step by step method over at his guide that is posted here.

If you want to try and root with VRoot (which for me only works about half the time) here is a nice guide that I found. Credit goes to the people at the bottom of that webpage. Good Luck.

Scenario 1 --> No Honor Logo ( Or Screen does not display anything ) --- ( Boot.img is wrong! or Hard Bricked ! , if the phone does not even vibrate)

Scenario 2--> Honor Logo ( Looping or Stuck ) ( Bootloader Locked (International Version ) + attempt to Flash a Custom Rom or Soft Brick )


Possible Attempts for Scenario 1 :

1) Flash a Stock Boot.img (Kernel ) in the Right Memory Address Using SP Flash Tool . ( For Memory Address ,see this image

IF 1 Fails to Boot,

2) Proceed in Preparing an SD Card > 2Gb , with Dload Folder Containing a UPDATE.APP & Au_temp.cfg ( Get this from the Huawei Website)

2.1) insert Memory Card and once Honor logo appears , Sit back and relax when the Stock Recovery Detects the cfg and starts doing the Flashing!...

If 1 & 2 Fail,

3) Proceed to Unlock the Bootloader ! and Lose Your Warranty !!!

3.1) Once Bootloader Unlocked , you are allowed to Flash Any Custom Rom :fingers-crossed:

3.2) Flash a Signed ROM Image using SP Flash Tool ( Ensure the phone detects ! )

Possible Attempts for Scenario 2 :

Try Scenario 1 ( Step 2)

Or

Try Scenario 1 ( Step 3)

Yes Absolutely ,

I have Installed Xposed , Greenify Along with official Donation Package and used it !!

But to be Honest with the 2GB RAM , i did not have an oppurtunity to experience LAG :victory: at all ,

Do remember some Process might FC (Force Close), Let me know if you see any

And Yes!! ( no IMEI Issues or Brick because of Xposed !) :fingers-crossed:

Summarizing by telling that yes u can

My Current Phone Config:

Running MIUI 4.8.22

with TWRP Recovery :victory: and using TWRP Manager App!!

Battery Last really long !!..... PLaying games like Asphalt 8 , MC4 ,BoomBeach !!

If your international , by going to Kitkat ( Which is boring ) , you will lose IMEI , Try this Guide
