So we're all still on .122 ?

I want to say "un ****ing believable" but it's really not.

It's simply not good enough
Yes it's pathetic, to make things worse I heard from optus employee that they may have abandoned huawei because of the world 5G ban spy Saga. They are concerned about privacy issues.

I'm not sure, but this is what Alistair from optus wrote on the blog post on Thursday.....

We don't have any updates as of yet from Huawei to our testing team, so we're not going to update you with anything that might not go ahead.

We're hoping to get a confirmed update on the 19th when we post out next update post.

I have been in touch with huawei and waiting for a response but from previous dealing with huawei it's a round in circles situation, they keep saying that we have to wait for optus because it's a Optus buy out phone.... optus keep saying that they are waiting for Huawei.

I'm starting to get really pi##edoff with the whole situation.

I've contacted the TIO ombudsman and consumer affairs Vic.

I've put a written complaint to optus and a required resolution, if they don't respond or come to a resolution. Consumer affairs Said that they will lodge a motion with VCAT Courts.

Okay I have just spoken with Huawei, the information I have been advised by them is that there's only 2 firmware versions released to Australia 9.0.0.122 & .183 .183 is only available for open market handsets.

Huawei have not received 9.0.0.188 from Google and this will need to be customised by Huawei before being sent for testing by optus.

So according to huawei 9.0.0.146 was never released for optus to test.

If this is the truth or not I don't know, I'm just passing the message on.

Seems to be Huawei, however Optus are no better providing us with information that they are testing firmware and giving estimated release dates when infact there's no such thing happening.

And Huawei could not comment why .153 .166 .171 were not released to carriers. They could not specify why .146 was not suitable for optus. All they could say was once huawei release to optus, optus have to modify it to suit them.

Just a vicious cycle it seems.

So I have an unbranded M20 and I received the 183 update last Friday and I am on Virgin/Optus. Who pushed the update to my phone? Huawei or Optus?
Because it is unbranded it has come from Huawei

Wonder if he will stay with Optus, I'm not sure There is any other reasonable phones with a decent plan apart from pixel 3xl which the battery let's it down. Vodafone seem expensive, I'm not sure about Telstra.

Well well well the 1st of March and no Optus firmware and nobody wants to elaborate on where it's at.

More lies deception and bulls#ht from optus.
