9.0.0.171 [rogers]
Yes, I have 9.0.0.171(C636E10R3P2) installed for about two weeks now on a LYA-L29 (dual SIM). One of the SIMs is with ROGERS.
@GeorgeNV Thanks but unfortunately yours is not the "official" L0C sold by providers in Canada, so I assume the update came from other sources.
While on this topic, a few folks have complained about diminished battery life but also claimed improved photo quality.
What's your experience?

I have another Mate 20 Pro, sold by Rogers. That one is still on 9.0.0.146.
I don't see any degradation in battery life, my phone is still on 2 days charge cycle. The biggest consumer was the HUAWEI Health app, consuming about 50% power of all apps combined, so I uninstalled it. But I did it while on 9.0.0.146.
I can't really comment on the photo improvements. Photo quality was already, and is still amazing... Also, I haven't noticed any scenario in which the camera app didn't open.
One improvement with 9.0.0.171 is that all push notifications are working fine.

More annoyingly.. Themes stopped working as I was able before to ignore the Huawei Mobile Services app update BS but now it's stuck at that point. More frustratingly.. "this app is not available in your country"
WTF Huawei???
OH... Did I mention that on my phone (set up for Canadian English) the effing Themes categories are in.. Spanish.

I am on Rogers, Got my Mate 20 pro last week. I don't see the universal search function or the Hivision. at version .146 on Rogers. Anyone have the universal search function on Rogers? Disappointed the software is so crippled.
So I engaged Huawei Support on chat and got a bunch of BS and canned responses...but mainly "Themes was not supposed to work in Canada, there was a glitch that allowed it to work, now it's fixed"...so again, WTF Huawei?
REALLY regret not picking the Note 9 instead if this is the level of [email protected] we get from Huawei.
The software experience is really frustrating with Huawei. The hardware is amazing but EMUI is such trash. Sometimes I get notifications and the only way to know what they are is to look at my watch. Makes 0 sense. I usually rock my mate 20 pro on weekends I use the note 9 as my daily driver.

Just wondering, have any of you tried printing a 4x6 photo with pictures taken by this phone? Heard from someone that pictures looks amazing when is view using a phone or monitor but if you print it out, the quality is pretty bad.
I actually did this on the weekend it the pic came out great. I had used portrait mode and it kept the depth and blur effect very well without over producing the picture. I was surprised
Anyone on Videotron here? I called in to push for a VoLTE inclusion and was given a fluffy response that "it is customer request driven"...ie they need to see the demand. So if you are the same boat, open a complaint with the provider.

Just wanted to chime in and say that Fido / Rogers will be updating our M20P some time in the next few weeks based on experience. Fido is among the best when it comes to providing info on Android device OS upgrades. As per their OS update list the firmware will include January security updates.
Not bad news. Hopefully they release it with the ability to OEM Unlock...

I have a M20pro with a BOE 02 18 00 63 screen that's a little under 2 weeks old, the screen is just starting to turn green. I'm not a happy camper, going to call in to seek a replacement later today.
Is the super macro mode any different than the macro shooting you could already do since day one by either going manually into the wide angle lens or using master AI and getting real close to a subject?
Will check it tomorrow side-by-side with my other Mate 20 Pro, that is still on 9.0.0.146
