Looks like we'll be getting another security update (May?) starting on May 28th for Telus devices and May 29th for Fido (assuming Rogers as well). Not sure on Bell.

I'll never buy a huawei phone ever again. Software update for global model is a ****ing joke. EMUI 9.1 has been out for ****ing months and why still not even available yet for us?? And now they got ****ing banned too, how convinient! I hope Canada just straight up ban their ass. If u are going global, prioritize ur global customers or else stay away. Oh yeah, and the locked bootloader too. What a great experience we are paying for!!

You realize this really is the US Government's fault, right? There has been no actual proof of them spying and such, but because of the trade war with China, Huawei was such an easy target.

So no, Huawei didn't "steal your money."

That's it. Fido & Telus had listed an update was supposed to be released last week but haven't seen anyone confirm they received an update (and I haven't either on my Fido device).

Wonder if that new firmware would still allow WiFi Calling & VoLTE on Telus like the current build does. Also, does this firmware break SafetyNet? (I use Google Pay a fair bit)
